Theres a homebuilder near me thats dropping new home prices by $85,000. The inventory of homes is going up big time everyday here. Should I wait for them to drop more?
100%... wait!! I just sold my home in Nor Cal. I'm moving to AZ. Both have been hot markets, and prices are declining. I'm going to rent for 6-12 months, and hopefully save 50-100K.
So if you have no need to buy yet... hold on as long as you can. Real Estate Cycles are sometimes 15 years, so the decline that is just starting might go for 3-4 years.
Plus, interest rates have already bumped up 16 times. At most, we might see 3-4 more bumps. Hopefully only 1 or 2 more.

Looking for a new washer and dryer. What is the best place for price, delivery, financing, etc., in Orange County, CA? Sears, Best Buy, Home Depot?
Costco is the cheapest, though it may not have all the brands. Sears have many brands to choose from, though not the cheapest. Try also Home Depot. Everywhere you go they'll try to get you to pay extra to sign up for extended warranty. Always decline that, because if it works during the normal warranty period, it will work much longer. Besides extended warranty is covered by the local shop, not the brand.
I purchased an old (1850) fixer upper big time home for 250k in a very good school district with a nice piece of land (over half acre) in Orange County New York, most homes in the area sell for over 300k. It is our first home, we were looking for 2 years and could not afford anything else and wanted out of the South Bronx (1 starting HS other kindergarten) I do have friends that can and will help me fix little by little. A friend of mine says no matter what it will always be worth more in the future. What do my fellow yahooligans think?
I think you made a good decision. Older houses have much more character and charm then the new "cookie cutter" homes. If you plan on living there awhile, take your time fixing it up. Don't stress yourself out thinking that you want it all done right away. Enjoy your home.
I lived in an older home (1910) and loved working on it. It's amazing the things you find out about a home once you get into it.

So, I sent letters to each homeowner that met their criteria asking if they’d be willing to sell. Six months later, the Jones family was in their new home, in that neighborhood, in a house that was never formally on the market. Service like that garnered me the Super Service Award for 10 years in a row.” Illustrate how you’ve gone above and beyond to help your clients by telling a story. Don’t let consumers wonder what getting the “Super Service Award” means.
