New Line Home Video

We recently got a new "home theater" with a top of the line 65" panasonic plasma and a new sound system/recover along with a blu Ray player this weekend were planning to watch our first blu Ray.

I want a video with top notch video quality and audio quality, although video quality matters more to me. I know up has the best video quality. But I want more of a noisy action movie. Thanks for any suggstions.

Any Pixar movie. some of the best demo material.

Star trek- video is very good, great sound.

Transformers (1st) great audio, good video. Didn't like (2 as well)

you should be safe with almost any new release, be very careful with old re-releases. the picture isn't that good on most, I was unhappy with Gladiator. Stay away from Harry Potters the picture sucked on the last two. I'm not going to waste my money on the first movies until I see them in person.

My dog chewed ours and ruined it so now I am looking for a new one. It will be used primarily for making home videos of my 4 year old. I can't afford top of the line but want something descent. Thanks!

You have plenty of choices out there for camcorders. Unfortunately, sometimes there are too many choices :)

If you're just mainly using to record your home movies and your 4 year old child's events, I suggest going with a DVD recordable camcorder. These obviously record to a mini DVD disc, and when you're finished, you're ready to view it on a regular DVD player. Costs start below $300 and up, with most of the big names (Canon, Sony, Panasonic, etc.) being good brands.

I don't know about videos because they are usually pretty lame. Most line dancing and salsa dancing clubs offer lessons (which are uasaully free!) one or two nights each week. Find out when these are and go to them instead. It's way better than a video!

i have a dell e1505. and i badly want to switch to a mac, expeshily after the new line refresh. currently my e1505 is 1.5+ in thick, and 7lb+ with a 15 in screen. the thing is a flipping monster, and i mostly just leave it at home cause its a pain to carry around. i dont want to make this mistake again. so pretty much im debating over getting a macbook, or a macbook pro. my ideal computer could be the macbook, with the better gfx chip from the pro and a 7200 rpm HD. now i can easly upgrade the hard drive if i get a macbook, so thats not an issue, just another 100$. i play quake 4, and the sims 2 (eventually the sims 3) om my computer, whicth are both for mac. pretty much, ill go for the pro and sacrifice the lightness and smallness of the macbook for performance. all im raelly asking is, how does the macbooks nvidia 9400 compare to my current ati x1400 whicth playes theese games almost flawlessly? cause if its worse, then ill go for the pro. if its better, macbook is mine!!!!!
to clarify im looking for a spasfic comparison to a ati x1400...

It isn't as strong as the MacBook Pro's GPU. The MacBooc Pro has 2 GPUs in it. The one the MacBook has and a new one that is super strong. You choose which one you want to use depending on what you do on the computer. Since you know me can I have best answer?
