ombudsman and they checked out my complaints and they called me back and said they could not find anything. That girl is still working and is probably doing it to someone else because she can get away with it. I think they are all apart of it. I just can't prove it. I have called many differnet type of telephone numbers and nobody will do anything about it You don't even get a glass of water at your table. Only what you get at mealtime.
If it is legal in your state, you should set up a hidden camera to "catch them in the act". If you have it on film then they will have to do something about it

My Dad lives in a nursing home in New Jersey. He owns a four plex apartment building. No family members live in or own any part of the building. My father is divorced and has six children. He has Medicare/Medicaid and he is a veteran. Can the nursing home sell his apartment building and if so when?
I do believe that they can but the best place to ask this question would be in his lawyer's office.
My boss has an older brother who has schizophrenia and OCD. Her mother is very sick and can barely take care of him anymore. We were looking into nursing homes for him. He's only 50. We wanted to be able to put him in a home where they can take care of him and have activities for him to do. He doesn't like taking his meds so we would need them to be like "If you take em you'll feel a lot better" Basically like persuading a child. Does anyone know of any homes where we can look into them?
Such places have very long waiting lists. I suggest you look into hiring someone to take care of him while he is living with his mom as an immediate solution.
Longer term, look into buying or renting him a house/apartment with 2 or more bedrooms. The second bedroom is for a live in caregiver. The caregiver gets free room and board and a small salary. If it has more than two bedrooms - advertise for a roommate with similar disabilities and the caregiver takes care of 2 people instead of one.
