New Home Guide

Im interested in buying a home but its my first time, i need a guide or something to give me info on what to expect and how the process works!!

Check with your local realtor. I believe the gov't gives out brochures for the realtors to hand out.

Enjoy the hunt, and don't buy too quickly - take some time and do some shopping.

There are a few good houses out there and alot of houses that are - well - not so good.

You should design a quick checklist for yourself so that as you go through the house, you remember to check each thing of interest to you. Some of the items may be:
100 amp electrical? Type of heat? Central air? Dry basement? Main floor laundry? Double pane windows? Insulated doors? Age of house? Attatched garage? Age and condition of street, curb & gutter, and sidewalk (this may be a large expense in waiting), number of electrical outlets in each room, are the outlets grounded? How old are the shingles? How old is the water heater? Etc...

Each house will have some things that will be a plus, and some things that will be a negative. Use the checklist to help you compare the houses and the prices.

I bought new house yesterday (new home buyer). I have no idea on sprinklers and drip usage. Please some one guide me on this.

1. What is the best time use of sprinklers and drip? And how long?
2. In what season we have to regular and irregular ? how many times per week?
3. How long for foundation drip (For new home) line?

Ok using you information I will try to explain.

1. What is the best time use of sprinklers and drip? And how long?

Sprinklers would be used to water you lawn or trees, on the other hand drip can be used to water trees small pots or vegetables. The main difference is that one soaks and the other keeps moist. I suggest if its lawn use sprinklers they cover a large area and you do not have to have many hose laying round.

As for time anything between 40 to 60 minutes early morning or during the evening.

2. In what season we have to regular and irregular ? how many times per week?
I think winter is irregular because is rains and its colder so less water should be added and works in irregular phase. Summer / Spring regular. as for time in regular every day and irregular as needed.

3. How long for foundation drip (For new home) line?
For lawn exclude this its too much work DO NOT USE DRIP there is a lot or work in putting the tubing hose, etc..

I was the person last nite that thought the home was 80 amp. I found another home in a real estate guide that had 100 amp service and offered a gas stove, gas water heater, and gas water tank and had central ac, electric dish washer and refridgerator. Would anyone think that with these options in a home, that there would be any problems with 100 amp service?

With no drain from and electric stove, hot water heater,you should be OK. The central air unit will be your biggest drain. If it is a smaller home with minimal electric devices, you should be fine. Most homes in our area had 60 amp boxes and were good until they upgraded to central air. Make sure the wiring in good and they haven't doubled up on the breakers in the panel.Ideally, 200 amps are best and having all the main users(microwaves,fridges,central air) on their own circuit,but sometimes you have to make do with what you have.

I just moved in with my in-laws and they have a golden retriever like (not sure what exactly he is mixed with) dog that they would like to have someone adopt or give a better home to. I'm not sure what to do or who to turn to. If there anyone who can guide me that would be great. Thank You!

an ad in the paper would probably be best; everyone looks there for pretty much everything. =] We raise beagles, and when it comes time to sell them, the paper always works for us! =]
