I'm new to Havelock area and would like to meet some other people that have young children that would like to trade daycare. A few hours for grocery shopping, maybe a night out or time to go to the gym? I'll watch yours and you watch mine. Not all people mesh so we can meet at a park or something and go from there.

I have googled and searched the paper everyday for weeks and have come up empty on searching for rental houses in New Bern and Havelock. I have found in the past that the best way to find rental homes is to drive around, but it's too far for me to go.
I used to live down there while i was in the USMC. The best place to look is either craigslist or visit a local real estate office. If i remember correct there is one (century 21) in a shopping center in havelock, by the DMV office. That's where i went when i was looking to rent.

Mobile Home Burns In Pitt County - News Story - WCTI New Bern
PITT COUNTY -- For the second time in two days, a Pitt County family is displaced after a home fire.
The five-member Epperson family escaped the fire at their home on Dixie Lane, near Greenville. That fire, which gutted at least half of the home, started about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The fire started in one of the children's bedrooms, a family member said. The mother tried to put out the fire with buckets of water from the kitchen, Henry Yates, the landlord said. A friend, who was also living in the home, is displaced as well. This all happened after a Monday fire displaced the Hernandez family from their Ayden Gold Club Road home. The fire started in a hallway, Ayden Fire Chief Barry Wood said. The Hernandez family includes two parents and six children. The home is less than five miles from the Dixie Lane home that burned.
