Our current house was built in the 80's, has 2 1/2 bedrooms, and is well kept. We are residing in the Temecula area. What we are considering is a brand new mobile with 3 bedrooms, and is in the Escondido area. We need more space, but feel uneasy about leaving our home. A house appreciates over time. In several years you will have gained equity, your house will be worth more money than today. A mobile home depreciates like an automobile. In a few years it won't be worth as much money. Hope that helps you make your decision.

I didn't know about some chemical present in mobile homes called "formaldehyde", which supposebly can cause nasal cancer and leukemia... I am planning to live there for 5 years... is that considered a long term exposure??
