They are both really cute and funny... I like both of them a lot!
Home Alone 2 has Tim Curry in it, who is my favorite actor and also my love, and he was AWESOME in his role.
But Home Alone is probably the one I like better... it's hilarious!!!
And Joe Pesci is really funny in both, I love him too!

I like both movies, but I can have problems with both of them. But I am picking Home Alone 2: Lost In New York better, because they have it set in New York. And they have more, actors making roles in it, even if it is cameo. You have Tim Curry, Brenda Fricker, Eddie Bracken, Dana Ivey, and Rob Schneider. And making cameo roles, you have Ally Sheedy, and Donald Trump. The first one, you don't have a lot of characters playing a part in the movie, that is not in the main cast, which would be anybody playing one of the roles of the McCallisters, Joe Pesci or Daniel Stern. You have the late John Candy in the movie. The first movie really began with insults, that has the movie went along, died down for most of it.
i've got to say home alone 2: lost in new york was amazing, especially the part where guys head blow's up in the toliet (Y)
But i've got to say without the first one making it big, the second one would exsist. So in my opinion the first one was the original, mastermind of all the Home Alones. The best scene out of the first one has to be the scene with the pizza man and the godfather movie. Loved it! It was the best
