Find A New Home

My daughter has cat allergies and my fiancé has a 13 year old cat. We can't move in together unless we find a home for the cat, but no one seem to want the pet that old. We do not feel comfortable sending the cat to shelter or making the child take medicine, she is taking enough medications as is for her other health issues. What can we do? We already asked our friends that have cats if they'd like to adopt another one, but they refuse because he is old.

poor kitty, there is pleanty you can do at home to let your kid and your cat live with you.

don't allow the cat in the kids bedroom and one other room.

get some air purifiers make sure to have one in the kids room, and some other ones scattered around the house

vaccuum a few times a week

have your fiance brush the cat at least once a week and throw out the hair right away

once or twice a day get some cat wipes and wipe down the cat this will get the saliva off of the cat is what most likely what your kid is allergic to.

please don't get rid of this cat

My daughter got this puppy four months before having baby and no matter what we try it is to hyper for her house and it will not leave our old dog alone at mine. We do not have the money for expensive training and would make a great pet for someone without another dog but I'm scared to run a ad because of all the nuts out there that would do stupid things with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

OH how I feel your pain...I have an 11 month old Pit/lab mix and she is pretty much nuts! LOL.....I can understand your concern. I would definitely find a Pit Rescue Center and work with them. Is the pup getting enough exercise? I know there is a huge difference with my girl if she doesn't get adequate exercise. I do hope you have tried everything.

I got a cat to hopefully be company for my cat that i already had and it is not working out at ALL. I have 2 dogs also and she is hissing and scratching them and i cannot have it . I don't know what to do and the people i got her from said she was fine with cats and dogs guess not. I tried to contact them to see if they want her back cause she is so sweet but cannot get a answer. I need to do something today because i don't want to keep her in a cage for long.
ok i am not a mean person i have her in the cage because he has drawn blood on my other cat who by the way gets along great with other animals she used to be a barn cat who was with like 20 other cats and had no problems ever and i rescued her when she was 8 years old. and my dogs have no problems with cats they have been with my cat for almost a year.

How long have you had the new cat for.You have to give it a couple of days to settle in.It has to get use to your dogs and cat it is all new for it.Please take it out of the cage because that is not going to help the problem.I hope this helps.A cat lover with 5 cats a dog and 2 birds so had your problem and they all get on now.
