i thought i would ask on here for good advice.i live in new york and want to learn at home,but im looking into a good school for electronic tech.

Both Penn Foster (Pennsylvania) and Cleveland Institute of Electronics (Ohio) have a combination of online & distance learning courses in electronics.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I don't see any reason why they would not work as long as your computer hardware and software comply with the minimum requirements for the games you are looking for.

I am based in the UK, and I always hear that over in the US, you get good deals on most electronics. A friend of mine is going over to NY, and could have a look to get me a cell phone. I would like to do some research and guide her.

I checked that Best Buy and Walmart do sell unlocked phones, the latter seem to offer better deals (at least online not sure whether in store one can get the same). Now it seems also that there are three types of mobile phones,
- on contract at&t, Mobile etc. - having a local us address is a must to get one, I have heard that one can pay some cancellation charges and get rid of the contract but anyway, it seems too much trouble, although the deals seem pretty good (if i neglect the fact that with the cancellation charges, it might be quite expensive)
- prepaid - unlike in the uk, where it seems to me that you could get virtually any phone as a prepaid or (PAY as you Go) bundle, in the usa, prepaid offers look quite modest phones, can't find the phones that I look for on pre-paid. Of course they need unlocking first if I am to use them on a different network.
- unlocked - hmm - this seems that it is the one to go for in my case. Although more expensive.

there are many nice phones out there (motorola droid) but they have to work in europe (quad band) and so I am interested in nokia N97 or iphone 3g 8gb, My price benchmark so far is:

It is a scam spam. There are so many things wrong with it.
The horrible grammar.
The obvious criminal intent of an business that is not legitimate, and stupid enough to put it in type for all the world to see!
No legitimate business would deal with freight this way.
No legitimate business would deal with a third party for customer packages, and payments like that.
No legitimate business would allow you to dictate the way you receive your salary.

I have a male friend who is 29 years old and lives at home. First he lived with his mom, then moved in with grandparents. He has never lived on his own before. Matter of fact, he has never tried to. He gets to go to community college and not have to worry about paying rent. He gets to keep all his paycheck and buy whatever he wants. He only has to pay his auto insurance and gas for his car. He gets to go to New York and go clubbing and out to fancy restaurants. No other responsibilities. It must be nice. I find myself a bit jealous because he has it so easy. I have been living on my own originally since I was a young adult. I am unmarried and I have no spouse. I must do everything on my own, why shouldn't he? Even on YouTube, I see grown kids buying hundred of dollars worth video gaming systems,electronics and gadgets, while living in their parents basement. If i was living at home, I would be saving for a house, not materialistic stuff. Don't you think?

Jealousy isn't the right word...I pity those people.
29 and still at mommy and daddy's is absolutely pathetic....a waste of a life.
