I live on a farm and I'm interested in like a junior breeders association. I wouldn't mind joining an FFA but because I'm home schooled I don't know if I can join a local FFA. I would Like to stick in Dodge and Jefferson County. This would be a big help! I like showing at fairs and everything, but I'm looking forward to joining a club so I can meet new people. Let me know what you have!! Thanks!!
So contact your local FFA or other similar associations in your area and ask if homeschoolers are allowed to join. My guess is that for at least one of them, the answer will be yes.
Brisket was a tough category and Dodge County Smokers took home the checkered flag!!! It was a awesome day!!
Please note it takes a few minutes to read..........Last weekend’s murder of an Arizona rancher has outraged people across the country, and is bringing attention to the war zone-like conditions which those in the American southwest have lived under for several years.
Authorities now admit that Robert Krentz, 58, was likely shot to death by an illegal alien.
His body was found on Saturday night, on his 35,000-acre ranch about 35 miles northeast of Douglas. His murderer also killed Krentz’s dog.
The ranch which has been in the Krentz family since 1907, is located in a known smuggling corridor, used by Mexican drug cartels.
Shortly after the murder was discovered, U.S. Border Patrol agents, sheriff’s deputies and Department of Corrections dog chase teams followed a single set of foot tracks for 20 miles, to the Mexican border.
Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever told reporters: “We are assuming he escaped south into Mexico.”
As far as a motive, detectives believe that retaliation is a strong possibility. The day before Krentz was murdered, his brother, Phil Krentz, phoned the Border Patrol to report drug smuggling activity on the ranch.
As a result of the report, agents arrested eight illegal aliens and seized 290 pounds of marijuana.
The following is a list of some of the atrocities which have occurred in the American Southwest as a direct result of the federal government’s refusal to defend the 2,000 mile-long border with Mexico. This list illustrates both the human as well as financial toll being taken on our fellow citizens living in the border regions:
-On March 8, 2009, 13-year-old Kendrick Owens was walking with a friend along the road in New Caney, TX, when police say the 1998 Dodge Dakota driven by illegal alien Javier Correa, 28, struck and killed him.
Correa sped away from the scene, and drove to his nearby home. A tow truck driver who saw him hit Owens, followed Correa and alerted police to his location. A few minutes later, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers arrived and took him into custody.
Correa has been charged with intoxication manslaughter, and failure to stop and render aid.
-In September 2009, police in Waco, TX brought new charges against illegal aliens Henry Andres Cortez, 42, and his brother, Jose Adan Olivera, 38, stemming from their earlier arrest for the repeated rape of a young boy.
According to court documents, the boy told police that the two raped him nearly every day until he reached the age of 12. Apparently, the pair took turns videotaping each other abusing the child.
Both have been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and continuous sexual abuse.
-In August 2009, Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich made public the staggering amount which the taxpayers spend on illegal aliens, living in L.A. County. Last June alone, the county paid out $48 million to the children of illegal aliens, an increase of $10 million over June 2007.
$26 million of that total came in the form of food stamps, while another $22 million was given to the illegal alien families in welfare checks.
Assuming that June was a typical month for 2009, Los Angeles County spent nearly $600 million on those two programs last year alone. That is in addition to the more than $1 billion that the county spends annually on the medical treatment, education, emergency services, and incarceration of illegal aliens.
-On April 17, 2009, Judge Cecil Puryear in Lubbock, TX, sentenced Mexican national Julian Vasquez to 15 years in prison for a July 2008 incident in which Vasquez broke into an apartment and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl.
Vasquez forced his way into the dwelling located in the Cora Apartments, and shoved the girl onto the bed, tore off her shirt and bra, and fondled her breasts, according to court documents.
The girl was able to fight off Vasquez and ran into the bathroom, where she called 911. When officers arrived, they found Vasquez still trying to open the bathroom door.
The only defense offered by Vasquez’s attorney, Jesse Mendez, was that his client was drunk when he committed the frightening assault.
-In 2009, San Bernardino County spent $64 million providing welfare benefits to U.S.-born children of illegal aliens.
According to county records, during a typical month, close to 15,000 offspring of illegal aliens received either welfare payments or food stamps in 2009. Over 11,000 of those children received both forms of assistance.
-On January 3, 2008, police in Fort Worth, TX, arrested several members of the Latino gang known as Varrio Central for forcing young girls into prostitution. Some of the girls being victimized were as young as 12 years old.
Diego Rodriguez, 19, and Martin Reyes, 17, were charged with aggravated kidnapping, trafficking of a person, and engaging in organized criminal activity. The names of three minors arrested were not released.

Years ago this would have been an act of war or gross negligence on behalf of Mexico. Our marines would have stormed into Mexico and cleaned up the mess.
Now things are totally different the illegal aliens are victims and the American people are evil racists who are filled with hate.
This is a disgrace and lets not forget that this started with Bush senior and is ending up with Obama the worse of the worse.
That Nafta thing was the most treacherous act our nation has ever committed against us. Ross Perot warned us and did everything he could to stop it. I voted for Ross Perot and I was even campaigning for him.
The problem is that many Americans have no idea who they are voting for. They only go by what everyone else is doing. That is a terrible mistake and it has lead us up to this.

I hope people learn about their leaders before they vote. I am doing my part to let everyone know how important it is to know who you are voting for. Voting along party lines is no longer viable. McCain is just as bad as Obama and he would have probably had the power to force Amnesty on us the way Obama forced Obamacare.
Lets not make any more mistakes. Tell everyone about Ron Paul.

I have no idea if he is going to run but I do believe he will. There is enough evidence out there that he will.

'Joe the Plumber' says he has no plumbing license By JOHN SEEWER, Associated Press Writer
51 minutes ago
HOLLAND, Ohio - Joe the Plumber said Thursday he doesn't have a license and doesn't need one. Joe Wurzelbacher, better known as Joe the Plumber, the nickname Republican John McCain bestowed on him during Wednesday's presidential debate, said he works for a small plumbing company that does residential work. Because he works for someone else, he doesn't need a license, he said.
But the county Wurzelbacher and his employer live in, Lucas County, requires plumbers to have licenses. Neither Wurzelbacher nor his employer are licensed there, said Cheryl Schimming of Lucas County Building Regulations, which handles plumber licenses in parts of the county outside Toledo.
Wurzelbacher, who voted in the Republican primary and indicated he backed McCain, was cited by the GOP presidential candidate as an example of someone who wants to buy a plumbing business but would be hurt by Democrat Barack Obama's tax plans. Wurzelbacher said he was surprised that his name was mentioned so many other times.
"That bothered me. I wished that they had talked more about issues that are important to Americans," he told reporters gathered outside his home.
Wurzelbacher, 34, said he doesn't have a good plan put together on how he would buy Newell Plumbing and Heating in nearby Toledo.
He said the business consists of owner Al Newell and him. Wurzelbacher said he's worked there for six years and that the two have talked about his taking it over at some point.
"There's a lot I've got to learn," he said.
Wurzelbacher said he started his day with an early morning workout and came back to his suburban Toledo home to do live interviews with TV networks.
Reporters camped out by his house overnight and by midmorning there were 21 people on his driveway surrounding him, holding cameras and notebooks.
Wurzelbacher said he's feeling overwhelmed.
"I'm kind of like Britney Spears having a headache. Everybody wants to know about it," he joked.
In Toledo on Sunday, Wurzelbacher told Obama that he was preparing to buy the plumbing company, which earns more than $250,000 a year, and said: "Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?"
Obama said that under his proposal taxes on any revenue from $250,000 on down would stay the same, but that amounts above that level would be subject to a 39 percent tax, instead of the current 36 percent rate.
Wurzelbacher said Obama's tax plan wouldn't affect him right now, because he doesn't make $250,000. "But I hope someday I'll make that," he said.
"If you believed (Obama), I'd be receiving his tax cuts," Wurzelbacher said. "But I don't look at it that way. He'd still be hurting others."
As he leaned against the Dodge Durango SUV parked in his driveway Thursday morning, Wurzelbacher indicated to reporters who crowded around that he was a conservative, a fan of the military and McCain. He said meeting McCain would be an honor but said he hadn't been contacted by the Republican campaign.
Still, the plumber wouldn't say who he was voting for and brushed off a question about whether he could influence the election or other voters.
"I don't have a lot of pull. It's not like I'm Matt Damon," Wurzelbacher said.
"I just hope I'm not making too much of a fool of myself," he added

Joe Wurzelbacher is apparently related to Robert Wurzelbacher. Who is the son-in-law of (are you ready...?) Charles Keating!
Yes, that Charles Keating. The Charles Keating of the Keating 5 Scandal. For which John McCain was reprimanded by the United States Senate, for his involvement in attempting to illegally influence government regulators. The Charles Keating who John McCain has been trying to avoid have mentioned. So, he basically mentioned it 24 times.
(By the way, lost in all the attention paid to John McCain not getting the same career-ending censure by the Senate, as did the other four defendants - the reason for that is because he'd been in the House of Representatives at the time of his transgression. The Senate decided that they didn't have jurisdiction over him to give the same penalty. So, his career was saved.)

I am in desperate need of a new car. But my issue is that I only get 1500 from social security and that is to pay all my bills for me my wife and my 4 year old daughter. My wife cannot work because she must stay home for me. So this is our only income and it has been just enough for a while now. Here recently the two vans we have decided they don't wish to function anymore. The 99 dodge caravan has a bad transmission. The 97 pontiac trans sport has a bad motor. the cost of fixing either one is much to high for it to be worth it both vehicles are well beyond 200,000 miles.
I need a van because of mobility issues mini vans are just the right height for me to get in and out of. I would love to get a new or nearly new van but I don't have the budget for it as we are now with 0 credit card and only typical bills we end up having about 30 to 50 dollars at the end of each month.
Is there any way I can get a car. Are there any programs out there for this any charities? Can I just buy the car and then have SSI give me more money so that I can afford the payments?
I live in Columbia county Florida.
