As we all know it is so easy to fall in love with New homes when we go and look at the models. I really want to do my research before buying. I want a home that i can own forever. Something that will always be big enough for my family. There are plenty of big houses, but living in Az, there arent alot of big yards. Does anyone know which homebuilders have the biggest lots, i have looked round a bunch and you can see the ones that are trying to fit in as many homes as they can because even the roads are more narrow. the driveways/front yards are tiny and it makes me to claustrophobic. I want a home in Surprise Arizona. Are there any home builders that do acre lots.
also what home builders do people prefer, who has the style of houses that stand out even when there a few years old.
find a BUYERS agent or even better, an exclusive buyer's agent
and tell him or her you want a prop with x size yard.

D.R. Horton was our home builder-got my 2400 square foot house built back in 2003 and i love it!! no major problems with it at all. we visited our lot frequently during the construction and always found things to be in order.... we live in the rio salado housing community off of queen creek road and I-10 in the city of maricopa. it's a nice quiet developement and i really like the area.
they have a good review (formerly called continental homes) and the staff was wonderful!!!
other places we thought about were trend homes,meritage and kb...

I have a great job here in AZ as a sales agent with a new home builder. My family is in Texas and I'm thinking about moving closer to them.
This is a hard one! The market in Tx. goes up and down, if u r doing great at ur job, I would give this advice, 1 alot of people live in Tx. alot buy homes the market is still good, as long as the interest rates stay low. BUT there have been alot of foreclosures in Tx. as well due to layoffs. I have a way I think makes some sense do u have any vacation time, if so y not come to Tx. ck out the market and job situation in the area of Tx. u want to be a sales agent in, y not even if u can come here apply, and send resumes it would be great to line up a good job here in Tx. before u make the move. I cannot blame u for wanting to be closer to ur family, family is important! Hope I helped somewhat. GOOD LUCK!!!
We found a corner lot home in Gilbert - Higley school district that comes close to what kind of a home we want. it is facing the recker/pecos intersection ( the backyard). Although if you are aware of the home building in AZ, usually the streets are far off, and you have your backyard privacy. It is E/W facing lot. Will it be a problem to sell it due to the traffic. On top of that, the builder is charging the corner lot premium. Everything else is perfect, the only concern is since it is on the intersection, will it be a problem to sell? The entry/front yard is inside the community. the Backyard is the intersection, with the huge community walls backing up. Its hard to find a home in AZ, where you are not looking into your neighbor's backyard. Again, this is a corner lot....no neighbor on the other side, little greenland and then a neighbor...also do you think new buld home prices will still fall in Arizona?

Well prices will certainly dip a bit more, but the market will pick up surely before you have any intentions of selling. Location is the KEY, but what you have described seems fine interm of a re-sale. One little point, make sure the traffic at the intersection does not cause excessive noise. This is a major pitfall.
