what piece of furniture in your home is the most important to you? and why?

my dining table i tried to keep it from getting scratched but to no avail when youv'e got grandchildren and toy cars and an even surface as my wife keeps taking the tablle cloth off of it leaving it open to my grandsons and their toys

I found a really nice bedroom set that is made of particle board. I've only owned real wood furniture but I love this bedroom set that I've found. What are the pros and cons of having particle board furniture in your home?

Particle board is not as strong as real wood. The laminate that they use to cover the particle board scratches and chips easily. Underneath the laminate does not look good, so when you scratch the laminate you will see the ugly particle board underneath it.

The pros of particle board are that it is cheaper than real wood. It is usually lighter that real wood. Finally, we have a particle board bedroom set. We've been waiting for all the negatives to appear on our bedroom set. We've been waiting for 7 years! We've moved 5 times. Our bedroom set has gone up and down 3 flights of stairs by movers and friends. We dont take very good care of it, and it has lasted forever. We're really sick of our bedroom set, but it just wont go bad. The worst that has happened is that one of the bottom drawers cracked. The part was actually thin solid wood. We have a few scratches, but nothing major. Good luck with whatever you choose.

On the Sims DS can u still design your home liek on the Wii but DS versions. I also want to know if u still get to design your clothes and furniture on the DS Sims version.

You can not actually 'build' your town like in the wii version. But you can buy furniture once the furniture shop in the forest has unlocked. You can design clothes but only tops and not bottoms once you have unlocked that feature. Also later on in the game you can design furniture patterns but only the material patterns. The thing is you have to unlock all these features first. Annoying. I know.

Years ago I had a friend who was always rearranging the furniture in her home, so that her husband was afraid to just come in and sit down without looking first. lol

YIKES !!!! Yes my wife is like that. Always moving something around. I have removed walls doors windows you name it. Plus she will go to a sale and find the biggest heaviest thing she can and bring it home. When I ask where she wants it it is always going upstairs or down stairs,never where it is easy. we lived in a house that was 160 yrs old so the stair well was wide enough just had to make a 90 degree turn to get up there. I have gone as far as vol. for overtime and stayed away until the wee hours of the morning trying to get out of moving something. I have payed friends to move these gargantuan things. When there was an auction in town I would tell her I have an emergency fishing trip I had to go on, and don' t even fish, anything but move furniture. I have faked headaches,earaches and hair aches anything I could think of. I have even prayed and begged but always ended up getting the whatever moved All she would have to say is "There's a sale" and I would break out with hives or foam at the mouth and get the shakes like a rabid wolverine or something.
