North Carolina Home Furniture

I just purchased a home and I am looking to furnish it. I heard if I go to N. Carolina, I could get great deals. However, I really don't want to make the trip. Does anyone know any furniture stores that have websites? i looked on google and found a few but I don't know how their reputation is. I am also looking for the best price and quality.

I live in NC, and honestly most of the furniture stores like mentioned above me, High Point, has gone out of business.

There are only a few.

Let's put it this way......I am not too sure as to where you live, but you may find it cheaper here, but then you have to pay for shipping unless you have your own truck or trailer.

Not worth it in my opinion.

Buying my first home. I need some suggestions on cute furniture stores. I'm looking for something simple and modern (think Crate & Barrel) but kind of beachy and refreshing.

Can you suggest some furniture stores in the North Carolina/Charlotte area? And for accessories, do you have any ideas for online stores I should visit? Thank you.

Try Furniture Land South in the Highpoint area. They have a VAST variety. and many pricepoints........

Highpoint has many many furniture stores at reasonable prices, it takes about an hour to get there from Charlotte.

the tenant has been gone from the home since Feb, has not paid rent since Jan, left all of his furniture and clothing in the home, there are no utilities on disconnected due to his not paying bill. sent eviction letter through certified mail and posted on front door of home over 3 weeks ago.

Have you been to small claims court yet? if so they have 10 days after legally being evicted to move/appeal there case to distric civil court. After that you have to post a letter at the court house listing all items and give either 20-30 days they you can sell them!

I love the furniture in the WSH catalog but can't really afford it. I know that i could find it in North Carolina...at a discount...if i just knew which company actually made the furniture for WSH (specifically the Baxter Dining Chair). Knowingly paying the retail mark up just irks me.

Williams Sonoma imports furnture and so they have many manufacturers...

as for the Baxter chair, it's possible it's designed and manufactured by Hillsdale Furniture

I need several rooms of furniture for a new home. I am planning to go to Hickory and High Point around the middle of February. Will this save me money and where are the best places to buy? Is mid-February a good time of the year to go?

I live in NY, shopped for the makes I wanted here, and got all my prices by telephone. I saved a great deal of money, thousands on my Bernhardt dining set alone. Sorry I don't recall any of the names.
