You will usually be offered the furniture for a reduced price. Trust me, it is not quality furniture, so if you like it, take the offer.

own our land have a trailer buying a modular home and want to know the moving process do i have to store furniture and then move in or do they leave the old home close to make moving easier

Ask the folks doing the freight and installation. They can tear down the old and temp move it on site while installing the new home. But moving a modular full of furniture can be a problem -- weight, shifting, exposure if it's a double-wide. All of which can mean damaged furniture.

Of course, you may have to make arrangements to have the old home completely out of the way before the new one can be delivered.

I live in washington state and I have been looking at purchasing a double wide manufactured home.I have walked through some that I liked.My question is can you purchase a double wide with the furniture that is already in the ones you look at.I like one of the home and also like the way it is designed with all the furniture can the furniture be purchased to.

You need to ask the dealer. Some will, some won't. Also, some manufacturers will give you the name of their supplier, and you can purchase directly.

I would like to know about pantry items, and any other ideas you can give me. It has been almost 34 years since I last moved so any kind of 411 would be appreciated as far what type of cleaning, when to put in furniture we have and that kind of thing. Hopefully all of this will finally happen next week. Thanks for your input.
ok maybe I asked this ? wrong. I'd like to know what kind of groceries I need to buy ahead of time and crazy as it sounds I guess how do I move again after so long? I'm having my home cleaned first, my old furniture I'm taking w/me cleaned, and anything you can tell me about moving even tho it isn't far from my old home. If it helps my daughter is going to live my older home. I helped my sister move from Tx to NC a few years back but this is so different. Everything is new to me as far as moving goes. Hope this helps someone that can help me.

You seem overwhelmed that you don't know where to start. Move furniture into new home & have help in cleaning old house. Throw out everything you don't need or want(or donate). Now stock pantry with non-perishable items &canned foods to start with. When all moved in, stock up on fresh & frozen foods. Good Luck!
