Mobile Home Furniture

i am thinking about saving up to buy a nice 2 bed mobile home and would like to know from people who own mobile homes, how much did you spend on furniture and appliences??

It costs the same amount as a two bedroom house, the appliances are the same as well. Appliance prices can be found at Lowes.com and start hitting the garage sales for all the furniture you can possibly want. No need to go buy top of the line furniture or cheap quality new, you'll be surprised at what you can find. Craigslist also has great deals on appliances, white ones are usually cheap because people buying homes want stainless and dump the fairly new white ones.

It has no value at all. You will have to pay cash. The only thing of value they have is the right to rent the dirt under the place.

8,700 sounds really high unless it is a really sought after park.

If you own the land where it is then of course it will sell better there and also in a trailer park, people like to buy with them already set up,. It's OK to leave furniture in the Trailer when you move it except for standing things that can head over then you would need to lay those pieces down and empty the cabinets and put those items in a containers on the floor, The Trailers usually come from the factory already furnished with furniture so it should be OK with you also.

It depends on the mobile home....ask the mover. We moved an older mobile home with the furniture inside and it warped the frame. Be careful.

(I apologize for such a long question, but please bear with someone who is genuinely worried.)

I haven't lived in a mobile home since I was around 8 years old, so my memory isn't exactly fresh on this, but just recently my family and I have moved into a used mobile home once again. I've been afraid of living in mobile homes since I was little, so being back in one has me really shaken up; I'd really like to be reassured.

Is it natural for a mobile home to shake and/or vibrate from just simple movement? Pretty much whenever someone is walking around the house you can feel it and some of the furniture tends to shake as well, usually anything pretty light. (To be honest I'm quite scared on what would happen if someone were to jump around the house very roughly)
My parents assure me things will be fine, but I'm not convinced because my parents aren't the most knowledgeable bunch on things like this.

Is there a certain weight limit for personal items in a mobile home? Some of our furniture is a bit on the heavy side so I'm worried that it could be the cause. Are there signs I should look for if our furniture is getting too heavy?

it probably needs to be leveled, or some of the piers have sunk, look at the top of the blocks it sits on and drive in the wedges till theyre firm, a good sign furniture is too heavy is when it falls through the floor, watch for soft spots by bathroms and hallways, sounds like your a whiner!
