As we all know different things, colors, and styles sell more during different times of the year. What I'm curious about however is how this relates to furniture. What trends are there in furniture during fall, winter, spring, and summer? Does it even get as detailed as holiday seasons? This isn't for my home so much but instead as to what I should expect a furniture store to carry during these times.

The stores have gotten so huge that they carry a year-around selection at all times. No more "seasonal" items like in the 1950's..

The trends always change. I've painted and accessorised every single room, but I can't help noticing the furniture is out of date by a mile. I have dark hardwood floors, same in the kitchen. I tend to buy new furniture every year or so, so the house doesn't look posh. It's getting annoying how the style changes each month. I just can't keep my house guest-ready for Christmas. Any tips, ideas or advice? Thanks!

buy all your large pieces in classic styles and neutral solid colours that will stand the test of time. So invest in a neutral sturdy fabric or natural leather couch, and some good chairs. And when you want to try out new decor styles follow trends using your throw pillows and accessories. Buy classic lamp bases and only change out the shades when you want a change. Buy occasional chairs or ottomans that you can either slip cover or you would be willing to change the fabric on. I have desert tan couch and love seat, dark brown leather chair and ottoman, and in another room a mahogany soft leather couch and a chair that is on it's third fabric...they are all sturdy (25yrs warranty) stylish and classic. whenever I move I go with a completely new look and people always ask if that is the same couch or is that a new chair...

What are the decorating trends this year/or season for a home? What room scents are the most popular, candles, incense, etc. What flowers are popular for Fall and Winter(store bought of course)? What colors are in as far as wall color and general room color of the furniture to the decorations? I am oblivious when it comes to designing and decorating I could use a little bit of help please. I Would look on the internet for USA investors. Then look up advertising agencies in the countries where you want to advertise. Same for the furniture and home decor. Type in USA furniture companies. There several in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

We are looking for suggestions for wall color and we aren’t afraid of color (liking the deep & luxurious family of colors by CIL), although we don’t know exactly what are our style is?? We are in a fairly new home with white baseboards and ceiling; the floors are a light oaky laminate. We have an open concept with our living room, dining room and kitchen, and all these rooms get a lot of sunlight. I attempted to attach a picture of these rooms as well, but was unable.

tertops are a lighter grey with some speckles. Our appliances are stainless steel. Our current kitchen table is a light pine (do you see the trend here?). Our living room furniture is a dark burgundy leather couch, sage green chaise and dark brown coffee/end tables.
We would like to have an accent wall (long wall connecting living to dining room) and we like either the Pepper Spice or Cigar brown by CIL. What would be a good color to use on other walls? Do you have any other color combination suggestions? Also, would it work if I used the accent wall color on the kitchen backsplash ideas as well?

Well, after a long search and great manipulation of websites, I was able to locate the pepper spice! :) It is very similar to the cigar brown isn't it? Or at least on my screen it is :) I like the spice, over the cigar out of those two choices. You mentioned blues as well and I think wild water 30BB 08/25 or capital blue 30BB 18/190 are quite nice. Adding a spot of blue to the room is easy--look to lampshades, pillows, and vases. If staying with a lighter brown I would suggest the toast brown. And yes, it would look perfectly fine to use the accent on the kitchen backsplash, this will join the two rooms together with colour.

Now, to your other question. I really like the drumbeat. Look at it with gravel pit 50GG 40/064,whistler 50GG 55/049,grey leaf 50GG 63/042,or Kentucky blue 3GG 43/119.
