i dont want 2 play real money

Yeah, you gotta pay real money which isn't very good.
Some old footage of how the studio used to look like, and with some new changes, and equipment. Not much has changed, but again, definitely NEW ...
I finally have the room to put in a home studio so I can write, paint and find out what else I can create. I don't have a clue how I would go about setting this up though and want to make sure I do it with the best colors, furniture, etc so I can get maximum use out of it. Does anyone know where I can find this type of info? When I've done online searches, I just get back the names of different artists or names of studios. I'd like to do this as soon as possible, so any tips or resources you can provide would be really appreciated.
Thanks!
Since creating art is such an individual thing, no 2 artists, writers, crafters, etc. are the same, I don't think you will find anyone with a model that fits you exactly. Your studio has to be as unique as you are and be suited to what you want to do. Ask yourself " What do I want to do and what do I need to do it with?" Don't clutter up the room with a lot of stuff, it is stiffling. As for colors, what is your favorite color? Light colors are best because they give you more of a feeling of space. In my studio I have a wall of pegboard that I can hang paintings and drawings on that are partially finished. I also have a large corkboard that I can tack pictures of things that are inspirational to me on. Your studio has to be a place that you can dream and be inspired in. It kind of evolves as you grow as a creative artist. Good luck.

We're moving from a house with walk-in closets to a studio (one room) apartment while our home is finished. My hubby & I both have a TON of clothes. Any good ideas on make-shift closets?
Thanks for the info. Do you know how much they cost and are they durable? We will prob be here for about 6 months.
If you have a moving company like Eastern van lines, American----------or, even a U-haul company near by, they have boxes that have a side that opens with a metal bar that goes across the top of it. I can't explain them, but, they're called, wardrobe moving boxes. Since this is temporary for you, why buy furniture? You can fit quite alot of clothes in one of them. Just set it against a wall in your apartment. I had them for a state to state move and now even use them in an attic for seasonal clothes storage.

I will pick best answer lol... And thank you if you answer...
Here's the best answer. Don't do it. Don't waste 10 Gs on
constantly upgrading hardware and software and gear. Get the
ideas down, on whatever you have available, and rent real studio time when you're ready. You can rent studio time (at off
hours) for about 25.00/hour.
I'm going to be a senior in college next year, and I'm moving into a smallish studio apartment off-campus. I don't have a lot of money (starving college student), so I'm looking for less expensive items (preferably used so it won't be so bad if they get stains or something). Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should look for good deals on furniture, especially beds and matresses? (My twin-sized bed at home is too small to use when my boyfriend comes to visit, so I need to find a bigger one)
Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.
I would advise you to spend the little money you have on a new bed. Never buy a used one, because you don't know if it will come complete with bed bugs, lice or something else horrible. Buy the mattress and box spring, and put it on the floor. You can buy a bed frame later when you get some more money. Someone here will probably come up with a good idea for a cheap bed.
Furniture can be easily acquired at garage and yard sales, sales by students leaving campus, and places like Goodwill stores. You can get some a cable spool that is used to hold telephone wire and throw a piece of fabric over it to make a bedside or coffee table. Book shelves can be made from boards and bricks or spray painted cinder blocks.
