I bought a furniture item from Star Furniture.

Before delivery, the deliveryman called to say they will delay the deliver from morning to afternoon. In the afternoon delivery period, the furniture item did not arrive.

I called the customer hotline and there was no proper answer. Told will arrive 20mins after the call. Still did not arrive, and they said will arrive after another 20 mins. All in all the delivery man came 60mins after my repeated calls.

Worse still - the delivery man did not place the cardboard under the furniture item (like any trained delivery man would) and dragged the item on my parquet. My floor was scratched and dented.

Even worse still - all of a sudden, the deliveryman came into my house with a camera and dash to my third floor trying to take a photo. I am ok with a photoshoot but not without my permission?

Must worse still - I got angry with the disrespect in my home and told the deliveyr people to leave. They refused even when I threatened to call the police.

So this sums up the experience with the irresponsible Star Furniture ordeal I went through :
- Late delivery and no notice
- Repeated assurance and retiming from service staff not honoured
- Irresponsible damage to your home property
- Trying to infringe your privacy and take photo in your house without your permission.
- Refuse to leave your premises even after repeated calls (its like forced entry)

I am certainly not buying from Star Furniture anymore. THe factual account of my ill experience is listed for your consideration of how Singaporeans should not be treated by any service provider.
An update

- After wasting my entire pm, the delivery men came.

- However, they scratched my parquet flooring as the unprofessional workers did not use the cupboard they had n dragged the furniture on my floor.
- I called the service hotline and to my utter disgust, the deliveryman ran up to my third floor with a camera. All this without my permission and he wanted to take photos in my home? I am ok with photos actually, but not without my permission and not if you are going to ran three floors in my home without my permission.

I told them to leave and the worker refused to leave my home - my god!

I told the Star Furniture staff that I would call the police and went back into my home with the impression that he would be sensible enough to leave my gated compound.

To my disgust, two hours later, another staff from Star Furniture came to my house door. I asked him how he appeared and he said the other worker actually had not left my home and opened the gate for him.

This is one of the worst customer service I ever heard of.
Thanks for this posting, you save my soul.
I intended to go to their showroom/ factory at Kranji tomorrow.
I guess I should start looking for another furniture store.

I am completely redoing my home...sold everything starting over. My bathroom is black and white and I have one pic of Marilyn Monroe and I need some more of other stars. Also wanting some cool retro vintage furniture for my living room. And mirrored furniture for my bedroom. Seeing as I have never done this before I dont know stores to go check out. Thanks for your help.

I don't have any suggestions where to find prints of old movie stars in Dallas, TX but I have a suggestion where you can find vintage furniture and even new designs for your living room and for your bedroom. Its Home Living Style, U just got a sofa from them and its looking wonderful ion my living room. They deliver nationwide so there should be no problem on the delivery even if you're in Dallas, TX.

I guess I almost feel like a minority in my own country with lack of home decor products which are comtemporary in looks. Everywhere you go, its the same heavy traditional crap. The only place you can find most modern stuff is online. It's sad that while in Europe designers are as big as film stars but here people don't give a damn about any designer products.What's wrong with our country?

Mainly its a durability and affordability problem. To get the contemporary look that lasts with kids and everything it costs a pretty penny. Plus many americans are collectors of trinkets and things. this lends their nature to be more eclectic in how they decorate not uniform.
So modern is out and traditional, expansive is in. its slowly changing with what is being sold to kids, and what is in a lot of condos is being transferred.

1). Not really;
2). May be I'm too old school, but I prefer to pay money for something useful, not for virtual clothing and virtual furniture. I like to win that kind of stuff;
3). Too many glitches, too many stupid kids (Sony, do something about those idiots), voice chat removed in public places, no new games or territories (except Red Bull, but it's a bit boring too);
4). More free stuff, ability to unlock stuff by winning in some games (ex, you've finished a certain game - get a poster, a baseball cap or a T-shirt with it's logo), more creative elements, removing glitches and bugs, more territories, better administration (like banning imbecils, Sony, please, put an IQ test or something);
5). If you'll find it - send me a link, please.

I'd give it a 2 out of 5 stars, not much use for it besides decorating a room with furniture and playing bowling and pool with people...

is it worth downloading???
