does anyone know the correct name of the furniture outlet mall with 3 locations in the GTA (Woodbridge, Scarborough are two locations) where they had a whole house inside the bldg. and you can shop direct from the manufacturers. I'm actually trying to find out if they have a web site but my searches using "The Home Show" and variations of furniture outlet etc. are all coming up blank.

well.. im not sure if this is waht youre looking for.. but i just moved to houston recently and we went to IKEA and they had rooms set up as displays and they give you wonderful ideas on how to set up to your likings... and very reasonable prices might i add.... they have a website... www.ikea.com ... hope this helps. if not.. then im clueless.. just FYI

Where are the best discount businesses in the greater Atlanta area for furniture - new, outlet, consignment, used, antique, any!! Also, to shop for how improvement and building materials, where would you go? Any suggestions for lighting or flooring? All advise greatly appreciated. I'm on the hunt for some good deals!

IKEA..

They just opened a big Ikea last year, and its the best place to find cheap furniture....You can also try the Salvation Army, I think there is one on Decatur or Marietta Street, and they have furniture there...As for building materials, I think the best place to go for that is always Home Depot and Lowes.

Hey there,

My boyfriend and I have recently moved into a new home. I've always love home makeover shows. A lot of times you see the designers going into hotel outlet stores or other home outlet stores, but I never catch any of the names of these stores! Does anyone know the names of good outlet stores to buy cute furniture? If they need a little tlc that's fine too! lol

We're really just looking for a "new" headboard/foot board, coffee table, end tables, bookshelves, and that sort of thing.

Many of them are in Toronto and shop there. You can find a list of stores if you go to the HGTV website and click on the show or designers you like and find a show...sometimes it will send you to a different website that will tell you their favourite stores.

Just curious to see where most people are buying bedroom furniture for their little ones. I don't want to spend a fortune...just looking to get a dresser, mirror and nightstand. I bought some locally from a reputed furniture outlet near my home and am totally unhappy with it so don't want to make the same mistake for daughter #2.
