Hello All, I live in Jersey City and with Levitz / Seamans going out of business I am really unsure where I can go and get some good , quality furniture for my new home. Any suggestions ?... Please don't say Ikea, I am looking to have stuff bought and delivered. Thanks!

So there's some allowance for personal property--a person who has more than that would have to sell or give it away, and find some way to reduce their total property to under those levels.

we are getting ready to move from miami, fl to new york city. we need to rent a truck or large van to move a small one bedrooms worth of furniture to our new home. (we are getting rid of our vehicle before the move since we won't need it in ny). i've checked out the big guys (u-haul, penske,budget) and i can't seem to find anything for less than $1000! we really don't have that much stuff, the trip is 1300 miles and is obviously just one way. help? please?

Rent a U-Haul pickup and trailer in Miami for local use unlimited mileage, several days use, make the trip up drive it back, turn it in in Miami and jump the Greyhound or Amtrak back to NYC.
That last part's a good way to get hubby out of the house while you unpack the kitchen and arrange the furniture the way you want it without him underfoot. ;) Besides the lone man on the road spirit of adventure blah blah blah it's manly.
Ok blast me for the fraudulent use of the rental. C'mon I'm ready.

im moving to west new york NJ and my husband and i would like to make our home a little more eco friendly and retro......can any one recommend a good thrift store flea market or second hand furniture stores in the NJ area?
