alternatively if you are in a hurry, remove the damaged piece / parts of the bed , put it in your car and go find a carpenter shop to fix it for you on the spot.

There's this shop in Dubai Mall; its underground and right next to the Waitrose supermarket. It's quite big and has really nice items - You should consider checking it out (I'm sorry I don't recall the name!)

If you've visited all the other shops; do remember the IKEA @ DFC is the largest (being 24500 square metres in store space).

I saw a similar question but with no details, and I was wondering about the same thing: I have 32" tv it's used i don't know if there are customs for that ... i dont know the answer to your question.. but make sure you know all the data before shipping this stuff, cause sometimes after the stuff arrives Egypt you find your self paying more money than if you have buy it from here..

I had asked a question on this forum about Dubai, I am very confused with some of the repsonses. I am getting a job offer from a company in Dubai. The offer is AED 1 million per year. The company will pay for education for my children, business travel once a year home, medical. Housing and car is included in this annula salary. Is this enough ????

One time furniture allowance is AED 50,000 and signing bonus is AED 175,000.

Can you please give me an opinion if this is a good salary.

I'm leaving in Abu Dhabi the housing here in Abu Dhabi is cheaper than Dubai. It depends what kind of Housing you want but here in Abu Dhabi where I'm leaving now the 2 bedrooms Flat (100sqm) cost 300000AED/year. As far as I know the Flat there in Dubai cost 2times.

But of course it depends how and which area you want to live. You can get also cheaper than that.

Usually the major problem here is only the housing. If you can solve it in another way will be good for you!!

I (indian) am new to dubai and found a home to stay with my family of 3. Now need to setup my home and have to purchase household requirements from the scratch.

My family is coming in a span of 10 days. Considering that i am going to spend another 3-4 years here, can anyone give a tip of advice whether its worth going for used household furnitures and electronic goods, if so can they be trusted and how to count on its reliability of sources.

I know its a tricky question but experienced campaigners can always guide us.

Alternatively, is there anyway to find out the sources who is leaving the country and ready to sell their trustworthy appliances in total.

Is it really going to give advantage over buying new goods. Please advise.

You are in Dubai... Oh! if you are in Abu Dhabi, I am ready to give my household items to you, almost fresh and used only 1/2 months.
