My husband tortures me, abuses me for everything that I do. He blames me for even his mistakes. Publicly criticiszes me, Publicly hit me. I thought he would stop it as I am now 6 months pregnant. I just want some help. I am located in Chennai, India. I am a Roman Catholic 28-year old working woman. I don’t want to stay in this relationship anymore.
Once my baby is born, he would start beating my baby too, I hate him. His father used to beat his mother in the streets. He belongs to a cheap family. His father recently asked for some sexual favors from the maid. The maid denied and informed us.
My so called husband is literally doesn’t own a thing. All the furniture and items in my home has been given by my father. I also have the share of the property from my father. I am earning decently (Rs. 25,000/month). I am more educated than him.
His father has destroyed all the money he had. His father is looking for a new wife now. My mom-in-law passed away last year. She was subjected to lot of emotional, mental and physical abuse by his father. She go t bone cancer. Doctor says its due to the stress she has been undergoing.
My so called husband has trickily transferred all my money to his a/c and now not repaying it back. He has taken some of my jewels an has given his friend for obtaining loan. He takes all my salary every month and is now looking for getting my share of the property which has a value of more than 30 lakhs.
I want some good counseling from someone who can really help me.

I have scars all over my body inflicted by my so called husband.

Even if I do not get the annulment , I will be glad to get the divorce soon. I do not want to remarry as I am done with a relationship filled with pain, disappointment and endless torture!
And it’s a sexless marriage. We rarely make love and he beats me even when we do it,
Where shall I leave? I need to get a job somewhere far to leave to some place. i do not have my father. I have only my ailing mom. She stays in the village. I can't go there and stay. I need some organisation which can help me.
I need to know the procedure of the church. The priest who married us is in some other country. Please help me!

Just leave. don't stay in a relationship that will probably end in violence and bitterness. You can always get a legal divorce. Not necessarily the Catholic Church . Unless you want to remarry and still be in the Catholic Church, you have to get an annulment by the priest who married you.

My advise to you is leave. Take your baby and leave. The baby's biological father is not competent to care for him.
