Furniture Home Delivery

I had a new leather sofa delivered to my home by a major retailer. The delivery people unwrapped the sofa on the sidewalk outside and then carried it through my front door and up my stairs. Unfortunately, they made about a one-inch-long rub mark in the leather on the front corner of the sofa. They are having a professional come out to repair it, but should I accept this? Should I demand to have a brand new couch delivered to replace it?

It depends on the damage and how they are going to repair it. If they are making it like new, it should be OK. However, if they're just patching it up to make it look decent, otherwise covering it up, then you most definitely should demand a replacement.

Are you considering offering a moving service as well? Corporate customers who would likely need this include furniture stores and companies who provide contractors with living arrangements and/or provide relocation services for new employees (contact their HR department - this includes travel nursing agencies, Fortune 500 companies, etc). Consider contacting the furniture retailers in your local flea markets, on ebay, and other alternative retail locations. Contact home staging or interior design companies since they tend to have a need for furniture. Architectural and home building firms may need furniture delivered to their proposed staged homes and offices. Also consider offering services to small organizations - they tend to move or need help moving furniture in-house so it would be good for them to know about your company.

Im having a bedroom set and a small loveseat delivered to the second floor of my home, how much should i tip the delivery person?

enough for a few beers when they 've finished work ,say £10

Ordered and paid for furniture on 2/06 and still no delivery date and store manager won't take my call. Any help?

Try there company website. That and go down to the store in person and demand to be talked to. If need be, bring a lawyer, or have a friend act as a lawyer to intimidate them lol.

I have been sitting in a relatives house waiting for some sofas to be delivered from 8.20 am until now - 16:50. At 11am the delivery man rang to say they would come this afternoon. At what point can I give up and go home????!!!
And whats the longest you guys have waited for so that I can feel a bit better about my day?!

you only have to wait until it arrives then you can wait no longer
