Essex Home Furniture

Okay, the problem I have is as follows:
My boyfriend has just secured an accountancy job after having graduated, down south (in Loughton – Essex). Now we currently both live in the North (Derbyshire).
We are saving extremely hard and trying to gather enough money together to be able to make the move.
We have been looking into the move and it is becoming obvious that at 20years old and 21years old no-where will allow us a mortgage so we are going to have to rent.
Now, as well as this we don’t have much of our own furniture (I still live at home and my boyfriend is just moving out of student accom). So a property that comes fully furnished seems the best option.
Loughton in Essex however is an extremely expensive area with prices from £900-£2000 per month for a 1bed apartment.
So we are open to live a few miles out of this area, maybe a 30/40minute drive away.
I was wondering if anyone knew cheap areas to live around and about?
And if anyone knew what options might be available to us?

This is a serious question – so serious answers only, please realise that this is very stressful for me and my boyfriend and has even got to the point where we have discussed breaking up (after 5years together).

Any opinions and advice is GREATLY appreciated!

I live in Walthamstow, which isn't far from loughton. (10mins by car)
I pay £736 for a two bed BUT we have been here for two years.
Now you can only get a 1 bed flat for £170 a wek (£736 per month) or more.
But it is possible. I have been looking at 1 bed flats, and there are a fair few out there for under £900. Most of them are going for £750+ so it is doable

Although it would be nice for you two to have your own place, perhaps consider a flat share for the time being?
My sister has just moved into a lovely flat share for £115 a week all inclusive including internet and the bedroom is a double ( can fit a double bed and a single) Huge house with 4 others and have a garden as well.... So might be worth exploring that avenue.

Try Gumtree for ideas about prices/locations. You can also put an add in there for what your looking for as well as search for flats and flat shares. Gumtree is great!

Also most flats are furnished or part furnished and also you can use http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FreecycleW althamForest/
to get your your hands on some free things, like kitchen stuff etc You'd be surprises at what people give away (tv's,sofas, beds etc)

Leyton and Leytonstone are also good areas for cheaper flats. Parts of Walthamstow are expensive like Walthamstow village but there are still lots on offer. Gumtree is great to see what areas are cheaper and it's a good guide! I myself will be trying to move soon.
