As for now, i've already bought a L-shape sofa, a coffee table, a bedroom set, a TV set. Anything else i miss?
Please gimme pointers for the kitchen too.
In regards to your kitchen, my best advice is to stick to the basics. A set of pots and pans, a cookie sheet and the basic utensils. Avoid all the gadget-type stuff and specialty stuff (like pasta makers, rice cookers, etc). I am a professional organizer and I can't tell you how many kitchen gadgets end up getting donated because they never really get used.

I don't have the catalog that came in with the furniture.
Kmart sells this exact item and model number..............either just buy one and get the booklet out and then return it to the store (lol) or tell wherever you purchased it from it didn't have a booklet with it. I'd opt for the Kmart deal. :)

I have furniture like a couch, recliner, dining room table, and bedroom set. What else do you need to have a fully functionable liveable home?
congratulations on your first home. it's so nice to have a feeling of having your own place.
i believe you need some things for the kitchen, you need to eat right? even if you're not planning to cook you still need kitchen items. i really cannot tell you what to buy because you never mention your budget.i assume you're in the US so maybe you can try to go to walmart or target or even bed bath and beyond visit these stores but don't buy yet. just make a list of things that you think you need. then try going to the thrift stores, yes the thrift stores. they have a lot of good stuff there and within a fraction of the prices at the stores i've mention. but just do this if you don't mind having used items. half of my stuff in my house came from yard sales and thrift stores. you just need to be patient and scour the store.
well if you have money to spend by all means go to macy's or other fine stores.
i wish you well.

I need to go personal reasons and mum ill gonna get council housing in about 4 weeks (im 16 and go 5 month left of school) I am applying for a grant but I wont use tax payers money on things I don't need or want.
I so far got:
Microwave
washer
dryer
fridge
freezer
bed
tv
top box
game systems (might get a wii though, not sure yet)
coffe table
I need:
A cooker
a small table
a couch
some curtains
then the paint and carpets n stuff
what else do I need.
Please bare in mind this is an emergency so "Stay at home with parents" wont work for me :(. I will have to leave by 18 febuary (4 weeks exactly)
what else do I >NEED< to live
a job and a car... seriously though...
cleaning supplies - vacuum, broom, mop, bucket
cooking utensils -- plates, forks, knives, pots and pans...
a lamp or two maybe
chairs to go with your table. but you don't really need that if you have a coffee table... just eat there on your couch.
if you consider a game system or paint and carpets necessary, you seriously need to re-organize your priorities before you leave your parents' house. Just out of curiosity, where did you get the high-dollar items like a refrigerator or washer/dryer? You should think about this kind of thing, because there will be LOTS of large, unplanned expenses and your family/friends are going to get tired of helping you out if you can't make a good faith effort to support yourself. You need to consider the cost of rent, utilities (water, gas, trash service, electricity, and sewage if it's not covered in your water bill), insurance, cable TV, land phone or cell phone if you have one, internet (which will usually require a phone line or cable connection), food/groceries, transportation... you will also need new clothes eventually and will probably require some type of entertainment budget.
I know you say it is absolutely necessary, but my best guess without more details is that you are going through a tough time with your parents and it will pass in time. IF you move out you may be burning bridges that you will need when you are older, so you definitely need to think long and hard about what are you are about to do. It could turn out to be the biggest mistake of your life, and you may alienate the people who you rely on the most. It might seem like you have it all planned out, with the grant and what not, but you are a minor for a few more years. You won't even be able to sign a contract on your own, or assume debt. Believe me, this will make it very hard to live beyond the short term. The grant sounds great now but it is not designed to support young people in the long term. You need a better plan and it sounds like you are lacking the long-term foresight to anticipate everything that can (and likely will) go wrong and cost you money that you don't have right now.
Unless you are being abused or your life is in danger, I would urge you to stay at home with the parents and tough it out for the next few months until you can move out to university or get a real job with your high school degree. If you are being abused or you are in physical danger of your life, please contact a help line or a shelter and get help immediately.
Does anyone know of a good place on the internet that that helps you with finding the essential things (furniture, appliances, accesories) to have in every room of a house or apartment?
