I was told the sheriffs would come with a locksmith to repo the furniture and that they did not need anyone to be home, is this true? can this happen?

I have never used a rent to own or looked at there contract. But I would say your safe. They should not be able to brake in to your home and steal your furniture That sounds like a scare tactic.

I had a friend once tell me he stoped paying for his tv from aarons and they just took him to court after 180 days

set up to be charged for theft when tryed to return a tv 3 times and here is the recording of them saying there not takeing it and gonna have us ...

My ex-boyfriend refused to leave my home so i left so i would not have to fight with him so when i returned he had cut the leather on my couches that i am buying from Aaron's. Do they have insurance that will cover that if i continue to rent form them? I also called the Police and filed a police report.

If you were the buyer of the furniture, Aarons insurance would not cover the damage. Because he was an invited guest your homeowners insurance may not cover it. If you file a claim I would list him as an uninvited guest since you had asked him to leave. You should also consider suing him in small claims court.

My parents are not treating me like there son, not in my own opinion! I am almost 16 and a half years old! My girl friend was living with us for a while, and my mom just kicked her out thursday. Now, what has happened lately is horrible. I want to go see a movie with her on tuesday but my mom wont let me go see it, so we had an argument, so I went to go talk to my dad about it and he pushed me and I almost hit the door stand! I have no marks on me so I have no proof and no one else saw it happen. A few weeks ago, my dad got a phone call from aarons the furniture rental place, and went off! He was yelling, cussing, acting like he was going to hit my mom, i told him to stop yelling and he grabbed my hand and twisted it and my arm and it felt like he was going to break it! My girlfriend knows about this! a months before, my dad was going to put 30 dollars of the money he works for into another account to pay something, but it was coming out of the account my mom uses cause she dont work! She blew up, grabbed a big knife and tried coming at him several times and I almost called the cops, it went on for a long time that night! My mom has also been driving with out a liceanse for the last 2-3 years! She lost it in a random check to see who had insurence, had it suspended and didnt do what she needed to, to get it back. She has said all the time since then that shes going to go back up to the dmv and get it back, but never does and blames it on other people for why she dont have it! My mom shows signs of bipolar, she goes back on her word with everything that comes out of her mouth! She tells lies, and always goes back on what shes already done! I went to my school counsalor a few months ago, and they had me go to a hospital for a few days like I asked them to so I could get out of the house for a few days! A lady told my mom she had to do things and that I had to do things, and I have been doing them, but she hasnt! My mom sits on her butt almost all day long and has me do things for her! She makes me come out of my room to get her a can of pop, or to get her glasses or to turn up the tv or to turn the fan on or off or to turn the air conditioner on! She sits all day, and uses my phone and my laptop giving me nothing to do at all! They dont let me leave the house and go any where! My mom keeps telling me that I dont have any friends! They wont let me get my permit to drive, they wont let me get a job! I never get out of the house, its like im a prisoner! My mom has even called me her slave, and her maid!!! There is more to it believe me! What should I do! She yells at my dad when he comes home she says, "What are you doing home, your supposed to be at work, why are you here?" They both yell and cuss at their grand daughters, and degrade them! I dont know what to do! Im afraid that if I go to the authorities again that they wont belive me because thay didnt last time! Mom and dad spun a bunch of lies and I was made to look like the bad guy! Oh, and my mom has kept me home from school for between 30-60 days this school year, and Ive had to take the heat from the teachers, students, and homework! Please people, what should I do?

call the hospital & ask to speak to the lady who told you & your mother you had to 'do things' (she's most likely a social worker, & sounds like the person who may be able to help you the most here);; anyhow, contact her & tell her what your status is as of today...hopefully, she can tell you what to do...be honest, don't be overdramatic, just report the facts...& good luck!! but something's gotta change in that house...

I have been trying to apply for a job for 7 months and put in 14 application in this small town...its nothing but mc donalds, hays, food giant, all those department stores... everytime i put in one no one gives me a call and its been over months and they should have been called me by now..mc donald is still hiring but and i put in one months ago..the manager told me to come back for a interview and i came on time looking for her and she wasnt there....i came back couple times day after day but she avoid me ...they should give everyone an opportunity..im a nursing student trying to pay for school and get my car fixed...its really killing me ..i did nursing homes, hospitals, everything. subway only have 5 people working there and business is really slow...dont you think they could hire me...they not calling...Aarons furniture store only have 3 people working there...OMG WHAT IS THEIR PROBLEM other people need jobs too...not everyone has experience in everything..this is my first job if i get one..if i went out of town like in a big city they would hire me quickly than here..im desperately seeking jobs do you know what i can do ??? my mom wont take me to look for one or drive me to work (i will pay her gas)...she is abusive and trying to hold me back from everything...im really trying to get a life...come on im 20 years old i need a house, car, everything...

Snap out of it. First quit whining. You are not owed a job, "OMG WHAT IS THEIR PROBLEM", nor is your mom responsible for taking you around town to apply for a job. Second you have applied to 14 companies in 7 months or only 1 time per two week period. Third, from what you have written I assume you live at home so your bills should be minimal. Fourth, you tell us all the businesses you apply to are very slow, isn't that some indication as to why you are not being hired. Fifth, if you make grammatical errors on your application the way you have done in your plea for help you have given the potential employer one strike against you. Sixth you have not given me, or anyone else, an indication as to what you can do. Seventh, you do not need everything, you want everything.
Eighth, you need to average one application per day.

What you can do to get a job?

Have your resume ready and with you at all times. How far are you to a UPS sorting location? They are always looking for part-time help during the evenings and nights. I know nights suck and you won't have time to have fun but this is part of growing up. I worked approximately 60 hours per week and attended college part to full time all year long. If I could do it anyone with a bit of where-with-all can do it. The school of nursing should have leads for you. Knock on the door of every business in town, doctors, lawyers, construction companies, etc.. Tell them what you can do to help their business succeed. Join the military. If you are a Texas resident, we will pay for your education as long as you do your time and are honorably discharged. If your scope is too narrow you be unemployed.

I owned Aaron's Home Improvements and gave up the company about 3 years ago and haven't,since then, done that type of business which I have proff, shortly after I was hired by Aaron's Sales and Lease that ironically shared the same first name I guess for marketing reasons, Aaron's Sales and Lease for Less (TVs,furniture, appliances ect.) Now the company suing me which I will try to prove it was not my fault sent the legal docs suing myself and the new company Im working for now to my regional manager at Aaron's Sales and Lease, my job is may now be in jeopardy. Can I sue the Insurance company for giving personal information to a 3rd party.
