Painted Dining Room Furniture

I am painting my dining room a cocoa brown color (sherwin williams hot cocoa) and was wondering what kind of furniture would look best with the new paint color.

a lighter wood to contrast or a nice wood with some pop of orange if you are up to some color. I like green too

My husband dosent like the curtains so I could change them if the color would be to hard to match.

I think one issue you should resolve before paint is the fact that you'd bend to the will of another for a color choice,,, especially if YOU like the drapes.

Color matching is computerized and there are millions of choices.

I'd match the color, paint it on one wall, and do the others in an egg nog creme color.

The rest of the house has been painted this very light pale yellow. When you walk in the front door there is a double door width opening to our living room on the right. Just beyond it is a double door width opening to our dining room. So you can see it from the living room. Our dining room has a white chair rail & the bottom half of it is that pale yellow color throught the rest of the house. I'd like to eventually get walnut/white furniture for the dining area.
We have a modern/contemporoary style & a red sectional in our living room. I was thinking of painting the dining room top half a dark red (not bright, I guess with brown mixed in) & the bottom half white w/ a white chair rail. I was concerned of having too much red tones in these areas. Would it make us feel tense or angry? Or would it flow nicely. I also considered a sage green or orange? It's just such a scary decision for me since we don't have a lot of $ to redo it if ugly. Also have khaki carpet in there.

Red is a warm color, so it will speed up your blood pressure just a little. Orange makes you want to eat, so you might try an orange-red shade, then paint the chair rail and the bottom half off-white. Those colors should work very well with a walnut table.

Hi. I need help with painting my living room and the dining room. I have chocolate brown sofas/coffee table, beige carpet in the living room. The Dining room has Oak Furniture. The entrance has Brazilian Cherry Color Hardwood. The living room and the dining room are attached. I don't want to paint it a really dark color because then it will make the entire area seem small. I was thinking of doing something light all over with a dark accent color. Can you please suggest some colors?

I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. I think "eaglet beige" (# 7573) with an accent wall in "enticing red" (# 6600) might be a good choice.
