Metal Dining Room Furniture

In the dining room, I want a dark wood/glass table with dark wood/black leather chairs.

In the living room, I have a green couch and want glass/metal coffee table.

The living room and dining room are in the same space (open concept) back to back. Does this color scheme fit ?

It's important to have a good visual flow from one room to another, but they don't have to match perfectly. Try to incorporate some green into the dining room and some dark wood colors into the living room.

We have a metal coffee table, dining room table complete with chairs. He pees on the chairs like they are fire hydrants. Does anyone know what will make him stop?

Well,he is probally marking his territory. He probally is jealous of something or maybe even mad. This is how they get your attention. Just make sure you put him in his kennel while you are gone (they want pee where they sleep) and when you are home just make sure you take him out reguarlly

I am looking for a nice cherry computer desk - any recomendations on brand and store/website?

I am looking for solid wood (no partical board), dark cherry colored, no more than 44" wide, and no hutch on top.
This is for my dining room, so I would like it to look like more like traditional dining room furniture - no metal, no wheels. no modern desigh.
Thanks, but I already tried Home Decorators, and I didn't see a cherry desk that was 44" wide or less.
Did you see one? It won't fit if it is wider than 44".

As in, it consists of 2 three seater couches and 1 one seater couch. The color is exactly not black. But when you first look at it, it is somewhat black and when you really look at it, it is navy blueish black. 2 side tables are made of oak and glass. the coffee table is glass with stainless steel sidings. i have another oak bookshelf near it and a black metal bookshelf/tvshelf. 2 stainless steel lamps and side table lambs are beige/cream colored. My current dining room set is made of glass top and ocean blue upholstery velvetty/satin chairs. the chairs don't match with the couch set, i know. but i bought things on sale etc. i really want to buy a dining room set that matches my other furniture. So should i go for glass top or wood top? If wood, should i go for dark wood tops and black/brown leather chairs? I don't like upholstery chairs b/c guests always spill things on them. please help. brown or black leather chairs? glass top or wooden top?

You've described a total mishmash of oak, glass, and metal of various colors. Maybe it all hangs together but I doubt it. Assuming it all looks thrown together, I'd say oak is the odd man out and should be avoided/replaced. The dining room chairs ideally should be midnight blue like the sofas but black is certainly preferable to brown. The table should be high tech, not oak. I think flat black steel would make a great table but I don't know if anyone makes them. Glass is a cliche but at least fits the high-tech look that I think you should be striving for.

So we have an open downstairs where all the rooms basically connect and are open. The dining room as all black furniture (diningroom table, chairs, and hutch) and the kitchen cabinets are an medium oak color that came with the house. Theres a little kitchen nook where we have 2 black metal stools on the kitchen island and a small round glass table with black metal for the chairs and table itself. The living room we are getting new furniture a lighter tan color couch and we want a new entertainment center and end tables and coffee table but I dont know what color wood. I dont want the same color as the kitchen cabinets.. and im not sure if I should stick to black even tho that would be the best matching option. I just feel like it would all be too much black. Please let me know your opinion

You don't want to mix to many different wood tones or the house will feel choppy. You want your house to flow from room to room esp. since you have an open concept. Black is probably your best bet. If your new furniture is a light tan then it will help break up the black. Also if you have light colored walls that helps too. It's nice to keep furniture in the same color family so that it compliments each other and flows well.

You can also add some light colored accessories, pillows, curtains, art work. This will help lighten the room if you feel like the black furniture will darken it. Having light and dark colors in a room helps them "play" off each other in the whole design scheme.
