Leather Dining Furniture

Hi

Having a real problem at the moment as we want to buy a new dining set which is Oak and has the High back leather chairs but can't find any anywhere in black as all the sets in the shops the chairs are expresso brown which is quite dark. My problem is my house has a lounge diner and my Sofa's are Black leather. Would the Expresso brown leather clash with the black leather?

It's a wonderful contrast. The mistake would be trying to match the leathers instead of having the dining set compliment the sofa and give more depth and tone to the room.

The colour is chocolate brown. She doesn't do it on purpose so please don't suggest scratching posts etc as she uses hers when she wants to scratch, the damage to my furniture is purely accidental. I can't afford to have covers made and I already use throws, though I can't cover the whole of my corner sofa with throws as they don't stay on the back and sides. My dining chairs have a very thin covering of leather so the scratches on those show the yellow foam underneath. Any suggestions / tried and tested methods please? Thanks!

Vaseline will darken the scratches, or try a brown marker

I would really like to use a medium gray color paint in my formal living and dining rooms. I have dark brown furniture, and am curious as to what colors i should accent with? I want a clean, sophisticated look that is a bit modern, a bit traditional (transitional) Do you know where I could find picture examples of this style?

Aesthetically, I would think that since you have one dark color (brown) and one neutral color (gray), you should balance it out with a bright color (red). If you'd like an example of how bright red goes with neutral grey, look to the color balance of Ohio State University's school colors. In a living area, it would yield a modern look. Bright green would also be a good choice if you added large green plants to the mix.

They all seem to have ugly 'T' stitching on the back and i was hoping to find a set with plain stitching on the side and nothing on the back. have trawled as many furniture websites I can think off and am getting bored now.

im getting new furniture and i wanted a leather living room set,but i was gonna get microfiber dining chairs since its one big space will they look good together being two different fabrics?

yea micro is small so chair is big and leather is animal hide i believe
