Dining Furniture Direct

Has anyone heard of this company?
Was thinking of ordering some furniture from them (they have a concession at Lakeside shopping centre) but am wary of paying up front. Have tried calling their sales number but phone gets directed to a full messaging service so cannot contact them. just wondering if these are reputable company - thanks

I heard of them, they had a stall in the Glades shopping centre in Bromley, same thing with me, tried to call them, no response, so I googled oak furniture and found a similar company which deliverd a beautiful oak dining table better than the oak dining ones and never looked back....they eventually called us back weeks later after we left a message and we took great joy in telling them they were far too slow and we now already have one from someone else.

They a genuine compnay, but just very crap, waste of time.

No offence against Danish design but... it's just not my thing. That being said, I am living in Denmark and having a very hard time finding good quality, more traditional solid wood pieces. In particular, I am in the market for a dining room set, including a china cabinet. I think a style that I am drawn to is considered old Swedish farmhouse type furniture. Can someone please direct me to some furniture sites that offer a little more than what is typically found in most furniture stores in this country? I'm trying to make a home here that I feel good in. Would I have better luck searching in Jutland versus Sjaelland?

We have had the same problem looking for a sofa and chairs, most on offer seem to be the type you would find in a office waiting room, not very soft. we were looking for something you can sink into rather than perch on!!!

I hope you can see the pic. I'm keeping everything in the room - the paint, the furniture, the piano. I'm removing the leopard print scarf and the animal print decor (you probably can't see what little is there).
What I want is something lively, probably floral/stripe, maybe french country. I need a new window scarf, would like to cover the pillows, add a little extra to it, maybe a throw rug in the center, maybe new pictures.
I thought about an asian theme but around the corner is the kitchen/dining area and it is decorated with parisian street/wine bar decor. I didn't think that would flow well together.
If you have any website to direct me to that would be great.

I am moving to a new unfurnished apartment in Northern Calif. and wanted reclining chairs/couches/loveseats along with coffee table/end tables/dining set and was exploring Craigslist. I liked more than a couple of each but then was reminded of harrowing times I had with bed bugs in AZ when I was in school.

Knowing this and after experienced bed bugs, I wanted to ask if I could thoroughly examine the items I intend to buy to look for blood/fecal matter of these nasty bugs? Some posts on craigslist sell items for higher cost which makes me believe these are free from bed bugs but I don't want to end up spending hundreds later on pest control, new furniture besides sleepless nights and pain. Brand new couches/reclining loveseats are double the rate (sometimes thrice as much).

If beds/mattresses/couches/loveseats are a direct thread, I wanted to know if I can safely buy nightstands, dressers, tables (dining sets, coffee table/end tables) safely or do these also have an equal chance of being infected with bed bugs?

No one enjoys bed bugs dear ... if I have even 1% chance of getting even a single bug from Craigslist, I will NOT opt for it. But then I get thoughts that I might be loosing out on a good deal that might be bug-free. Please advise!

I wouldn't get a mattress unless I knew the people. Other then that any fabric pieces inspect before purchase.
