Is this any good?
A man, now older than 35 sprawled on the lounge floor, from which he funded its posh implementation over a decade ago, had lain unconscious. Hardly breathing. His mistress immediately nestled to his side, grief stricken, her face caked with grief. It didn’t last long. But sentimentality was not a stranger to Yvonne. A mere 7 months in the force, she didn’t think life would get any more exciting than planting thumb prints and taking witness notes. Raymond Werksen took notice of the plain Jane with dimples of gold, and a smile of precision-laden glee. At least for a little while….this was an upgrade package in his usual skittish dating history.
Officer Shirley, of course unbeknownst to the nightclub Mecca mogul always had a flair for standing up to anyone she didn’t like making at pass at her. Being standoffish alone, Yvonne hadn’t gotten enough credit for her demeanor since joining her fellow arms men on the streets of Colford City. See it was there they labeled her off the bat as being too nice!
Several weeks after working undercover at Roland’s music factory up on the esplanade, Yvonne kept her distance from the womanizing owner. But his was of subtle transgression. A man of little words, Roland had a shock of long brown hair, combed-over. Parallel to beady blue eyes were shades of facial hair very subtle but existent. He didn’t know what to make of the Milatto-toned bombshell when she first stepped into his life (whisked by one of his handlers) She afterall was one of a select he happened to take any initiative of maintaining a relationship with outside of foreplay. During business hours Raymond would normally would wine and dine any potential financial client (or conquest if she were female and didn’t have a wedding ring.) He had long grown tired of chasing married women when he was at his father’s prestigious med school, a career path he had chosen to initially pass up when he dropped out to buy out a downtown night club magnate. Using his smooth demeanor and
He had a custom sized pool stick that he used extra-curricular, much to the chagrin of Yvonne. What was his purpose? Did anyone know of his operation? Those questions and a few others were left unanswered when the precocious 23 year old sported a short black dress and sexy Stilettos the night of his final confrontation. Tied back hair and pant suit, were replaced by long sultry locks of black, a mini-skirt and sexy Stilettos. Werksen could sport any type of “rookie” onto his game. At least it wasn’t a “game” to him. And still he kept at it, not trying to throw Yvonne off his tracks, but to for lack of better word, travel hers…Winning over the affections of potential investors became almost a way of life for the frothy native son of Colcord City. Many people in that area knew beneath the smile and killer looks was the true persona of a glorified politician. One people would like to think they could trust, have a beer with. Just not in public or around family.
Yvonne grew uncomfortable by Raymond’s passes the first couple of weeks into her investigation, but inevitably became attracted to his aura of dubiousness. So much mystery surrounded him, aside from his “sudden” riches. These ponderings included why did he have newer pieces of furniture in his lavish dance floor. Why did female guests hardly ever leave his backroom VIP sections. These sections were later deemed “stowaways” by the CCPD. Enter officer Shirley, on her first major case, never knowing she’d also be hot on the tails of a potential lover. Just a few months into a broken off engagement from her college sweetheart, Yvonne took up law enforcement, capititalizing off her forensics background and pleathora of connections into the latter. Less than a year later, she engaged in a reasonably tumultuous relationship with Roland. Well she at least thought it was reasonably. Arguably if she was still on top of her own game mentally and able to get int control of both her emotions, and sexual identity, few would know who Werksen would win over next with his charisma.
Reminiscent of Raymond Chandler -- almost a parody of the old pulp fictions. There's a mastery of words here, just not a mastery of form, and the eyes tend to glaze over after the first few sentences. I know you don't want to hear that. But, also: what is this about? It's a bunch of cops f***ing and some meandering stuff about pool and shady dealings. Characters, conflict, resolution; there's no sense of that. Once you get a plot and think about your readers, you'll be a slam-bang writer.
Oh, and don't put your plots on the Internet for everyone to see. That's a rookie mistake, because you'll need proof you had it, and I don't mean easily alterable data. Print this plot, mail it to yourself with a postmark, and don't open the damned thing unless there's litigation. That's a cheap way to cover yourself.

Custom Farm Dining Table | Two Peas and Their Pod
When we remodeled our kitchen , we knew we needed a new dining room table. We searched for months and never found anything we loved. Luckily, we came in contact with a local furniture maker/designer, Patrick Davis, who builds custom farm tables. We met with him in December and fell in love with his work. We told him we wanted a rustic, solid wood, farm table with two large benches. We saw a few previews along the way and every time I got more excited about our table.
On Saturday, we got the call that our table was finished and was ready to be delivered. The table is perfect, just what we had in mind. The base of the table is built out of wood from an old bridge that collapsed over the Great Salt Lake. How cool is that? I love that our table has a story behind it. It is rustic, solid, and has lots of character. The dark wood contrasts nicely with the white cabinets and floors. We love it!
