oriental/asian furniture within 50 miles of 21703?

I am looking for Oriental/Asian furniture specifically a dining room set. I located one store in Frederick but the selection was limited. If someone could help me find such a store in Fredrick or near Frederick I would appreciate it very much.

I am thinking you are in Frederick Maryland with that zip code. If you are you have plenty of possible choices within a 50 miles radius. You are close to D.C. and Baltimore. We lived in Ellicott City for 10 yrs. There are many furniture stores to choose from outside of the Frederick area that would offer pieces that might pick up on the asian look. I don't recall any store that was asian specific. There just isn't much of a call for that. In Catonsville is Bassett and Ethan Allan on 40 and I know they offer some pieces that pick up on an asian style. You might find more choices in D.C. but certainly at a price. Downtown in Baltimore is a great store called Shafers. You might want to check them out as well. The few furniture stores I saw in Frederick were quite conservative

Where can I buy wooden furniture with an antique feeling and an ethnic concept to the whole outlook?

I am looking at the region of South East Asia such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia or any other South East Asian countries. I am looking for a complete range of the home interior furnitures such as the living room set, dining set etc. The look of the furniture should be of an ethnic concept and reasonable priced. I would like to know of any places specifically in the above mentioned countries such as in Thailand=Chatuchak area or etc. Hope anyone can offer some recommendations on places in any of the countries mentioned above.

While our online store is not currently selling furnitures, we do sell artwork from Indonesia.

Our artwork may help you to get the touch of South East Asian atmosphere in your home decor needs with handmade wood carving, wall decorations, batik, wayang, etc.

Just visit our store at http://www.batikncraft.com and let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

Looking for a furniture company in Singapore.?

I just moved here and need a dining room and living room set. I'd also like a little tea table too. Where are some good places to shop? I'd like to mix an Asian style with a slightly modern one. I have a decent budget to work with as long as the items are high quality.

Are there any good interior designers in Singapore that can help me?

Thanks!

How do I make my bedroom in my new apartment have an Asian theme?

The only furniture I have is a full mattress and a stool for the breakfast bar. I'm starting with the bedroom and then I'll move onto the living room and dining area.

My mom bought me this when we were shopping and I said it was cute http://walmart.com/catalog/product_id=13 269233

So I would like it to match this.

I can paint but I can't change the white carpet.

What window treatment would be good for the sliding glass door? I don't like the vertical blinds that are on it now.

What kind of bed should I get and will black furniture work? I heard that platform beds are good for an Asian theme. Is that true?

For the most part I want the Asian part to come from accents like a sword that I have and a tea set. I'll add more things as I find them.

Your link isn't working.....

As for the window treatments on the sliding glass door, I suggest a sliding curtain that opens in the middle. You can choose any material you want from a fabric store and have it custom made to match your decor. http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/uimages/ chicago/2008-02-07-kbr.jpg

Platform beds are good for an Asian theme. Since I cannot see your link, I don't know what colors are in the comforter, but usually black furniture will always match. Black is also good for an Asian theme, but so is a light colored wood, like bamboo or maple (natural).

Keeping the Asian theme to accents throughout is a good idea! It will help you from becoming annoyed with looking at it after a couple years. Put up some plates on the wall, and small Bonsai trees around. If you can find an Asian themed room divider, that would look awesome!

For lighting - paper lamps are have the Asian theme as well, and are inexpensive. http://oriental-decor.com/paper-lamps.ph p#2032

What color should I paint my walls and where can I get the paint?(asian influenced theme)?

I am trying to figure out how to decorate home with the furniture and things I already have just adding covers if need be and paint. I have a tan couch, black leather looking overstuffed recliner, light blonde wood bookcase, painted white dresser with gold accents, medium wood desk, and black metal and wood desk with greyish silver metal accents.

I am looking for all kinds of ideas but most important is the paint for the walls. We are moving soon so I am unsure of the exact layout because we might get the house we want or we might have to wait a little longer for something similar. Ideally this paint and theme would be for the kitchen, living room, dining room, and maybe even the laundry room.

My original idea consisted of red walls and black furniture covers and paint with accents of silver dragons and chinese characters. But my husband refused to have red walls or anything dark so I thought maybe a metallic or shimmery teal with a slightly darker blueish green sponge painted in some pattern over it(have no idea how to do this was just planning to find a how to online) or just the shimmery teal with silver chinese characters and maybe the dragons... depending on how things look when I'm done with everything else.... But then what color should I paint the dresser and get for the couch cover?

Keep in mind that I have 2 toddlers that are likely to stain things so the couch cover can't be anything that I can't wash. I was just going to find a material that I can buy by the yard and drape it over the couch putting a dowel rod down in the back of the couch holding the cover on like I saw on trading spaces... don't know if that works with a reclining sofa though... does it?

Maybe a very dark brown for the walls. You could add some curvy lines to make it look better. Or also even try looking at this site to see what the outcome would be http://fhelzone.blogspot.com/2009/02/col or-your-dream-house.html It is a paint simulator or something
