Monster n law nightmare please help!?

I am 27 wks pregnant and my husband and I just bought a new house. We are doing all the stuff to get our current house ready to sell. My "MIL" came to help us. While she was here 3 male neighbors/friends came over to see if we needed help moving anything bck in the house since our carpet was finished. I was thrilled for the help so had them move 2 bedrooms of furniture in. Later she tells me I need to behave and not have all the boys in my house w/o my husband b/c it makes him feel bad. Since then she has been making comments that I dont love, respect, or appreciate my husband enough. I dont get it b/c after 10yrs my husband and I are stronger and more in love than ever. My husband backs me 100% and has tried talking to his mom about this many times over the years.
But nothing changes or helps. Any suggestions....At a loss.

You will not convince this woman of anything. Don't pay any attention to what she says. When she gives you advice just say, thank you for the advice, I will keep it in mind. Ask you husband to be a buffer, which will be even more important when the baby is born. She will likely try to tell you how to care for it. Once again just thank her for her advice and do your own thing. Build your family around your husband and your child. They are the most important anyway.

Bedroom Decorating Ideas?

Hey! Well, I might be re-doing my bedroom, but I have no idea what to do with it. I had some ideas, but I'm just collecting a few more from some fellow Yahoo! Answerers. I like the colors orange, blue, yellow, purple, and light green. I might be inheriting some white furniture, and I don't have a headboard on my bed because it's pushed going in front of a window. Anyways I'm a teenager so I'd prefer nothing with monster trucks on them lol. I like vintage, boho, and natural things. Please include links of furniture, bedding, and accesories! Thank you.

I like this bedding but it's been out of stock for about a year now.

Hi,
im a teen as well. i just painted my hot pink ( yuk) wall, light green andi am verrrrrry thankful for it! it makes your room seem alot more spacious. All of the colours you like, go well with purple ( that bed cover colour) and im sure you could find something like it. Also, hanging things from travel, even if its just a little souvenirs, for example, my mum went to india and brought me back these hangy things with beaded elephants- and they add a really natural, individual look to your room. whatever you do, just make it you, and usually if you have a creative mind and you are naturally individual then your room will turn out good.

Really embarrassing scenario I've gotten myself into.?

I just moved into my new apartment and everything was great for the first few days, but then one night I had an almost nightmarish experience where everytime I would almost go into a deep sleep I would detect a presence in the room that was trying to scare. Ever since then I've been obsessed with rearranging my bedroom furniture. I've moved my dresser-drawers and my nightstand, my bed, everything in that room has been moved around at least once. I can't seem to feel comfortable in there anymore ever since then. I know that it was just dream and there wasn't really a monster in there trying to hunt me down, but it has left some angst in the back of my mind. There are times when I'm fine to go in there and just watch tv or play on the computer, but I always end up looking around and reassessing the layout of my bedroom. I get an empty feeling or something...anyway it's not a warm cozy feeling. Has anyone else been terrorized by your own mind and ended up in this situation?

your normal!!! it was some thing in the dream that made you upset, and it was in that room ,,, i went thew something like that wen i was 18 and I'm a lot older now and for a while i couldn't sleep in that room , i slept in the living room for a great deal of time afterward,,, cant you change rooms with anyone? are leave a night lite on are TV? pray to god for a Peace full sleep, it works ,,, good-luck it will past ,,,

I have created a monster.... (cleaning and tidying wise)?

I thought I could handle clearing and decluttering my bedroom. I'll tell you now. I can not.

I thought I had a system, I planned to first empty the drawers under my bed, then move all my old school work into those drawers, then clean out my desk, then my wardrobe drawer- full of junk, then clean out my clothes, then a massive space above my bedroom full of junk, and then clean the carpet, and move the furniture around.
I'd estimated 5 days for all of this.
And enlisted the help of a few friends for nearer the end when I knew I'd be bored.

Anyway. I cleaned out the drawers under the bed- now I have 5 bags of rubbish in my room which I can't move out until I get some stronger bin liners.
And I also have quite a lot of just stuff on the floor. Disaster zone. So I moved my school work into the drawer, but I know there's a pile of school work somewhere on the floor!
Argh. It's all become a disaster. I would say I don't know how to start, but I've already started, I don't know how to continue!
Any tips because I'm losing my mind!
I have the motivation (for now!) but I just don't know what to do.... there's just so much mess. And I can't put it where it belongs, because there's nowhere for it to belong until I clean out the desk/wardbrobe etc.!!

You are overwhelmed and need to get organized by attacking one section of the room at a time. Begin where you already started, with the stuff under the bed and leftover things on the floor.

You need to make space so you can continue with your cleaning and sorting. Remove the 5 bags of rubbish first. Get three boxes and label them: Give Away. Throw Away, and Put Away. When the Give Away and the Throw Away boxes get filled, do what the label says. Then continue on. You need the space, so get that Give Away and Throw Away stuff out of your room, immediately. For the Put Away items, just stack the boxes in a corner until you sort through everything that is under your bed and in your desk. Get rid of everything you have not used in the past six months or will not use in the next six months. If there is stuff that you do not use and just cannot part with, then box it up and store it out of your room in the attic, basement or garage. You need the space for your stuff, not to store things you have not or will not be using regularly.

Then, move onto your wardrobe and be honest when going through your clothing.....will you really wear that orange shirt with the green design that is too big? These pants would fit if I lost or gained 5 lbs. NO, get rid of it in the Give Away box!!! If something needs mending, put it in a separate bag so it does not take up valuable space in your day to day clothing. Be diligent and only work on a section at a time for maybe two hours a day.

Soon, all of the stuff piled in your Put Away boxes will be ready to sort. Now you have a bunch of stuff to Put Away. Take all of your clothes and fold them neatly on your bed in piles of pants, shirts, etc.
This way you will see what you have and the amount of space you need to store them. Next, do the same with all of the desk items. All of your hair things and jewelry, etc. Before you know it, you will have lots of space for all of your stuff and you won't be spending time looking for things because you will be organized.

Use your closet space wisely. Have double rods, one under the other, if you need more hanging space. If you have floor space in the closet, store your socks in a basket near your shoes.

Yes, your room will be a disaster in this process, but think of the end result. An organized and clean room where everything you need and want will be at your fingertips. Ahhh.

How do I discipline my out-of-control 7 year old?

He's been getting into trouble at school. Everything from getting into other students belongings, playing in the bathroom, not paying attention in class, and he even hit one kid in the stomach. The school is talking about suspending him and he's only in 2nd grade! I've tried everything I can think of. I've given him Time-Outs, taken away privileges like watching TV and playing games, and I recently took every single thing out of his bedroom except for furniture. None of it has worked. I have spanked him, but I end up feeling terrible about it so I prefer not to use that as punishment. Three doctors have said that he's not ADD. I just don't know what to do about it.

A little background: He's an only child, I'm a stay-at-home Mom, he was home schooled last year and we live in a neighborhood where there aren't any kids his age, so there is no one for him to play with at home. He's enrolled in an after-school program at the local community center and takes Ju-Jitsu, so he has opportunities to socialize when he's not in trouble for his behavior. He's fantastic at home, but seems to get into trouble when I'm not around. I don't want to turn into one of those mothers that hover over their kids all the time, but I seem to have no choice. When I'm not around, he turns into a monster. What can I do to get my sweet boy back?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I have a son like yours. Hes so sweet at home but he goes to school and does such lame things.. He got 3 bad notes home from school in one week, i grounded him to his bedroom for the entire weekend and that helped but with negative reinforcement you have to have positive.. if he goes a whole week w no bad notes i will take him out to eat to a place of his choice every friday or over the weekend, or to a place of his choice like a park or something. Some thing you need to have is solid consequences. Hes should know exactly what will happen to him if he does something bad just like he knows what he will get if he does something good.. and make sure you stick to it, dont budge.. also he might be getting picked on at school and have to defend himself.. tell him hes a great kid and needs to start showing his teachers he is and tell him and show him how much easier life would be if he stayed out of trouble.
