my boyfriend and i are planning to purchase all new bedroom furniture soon. we are getting a high quality king size mattress and want a nice bedroom set to go with it. any suggestions on where to look? we want really high quality because we hope this set will last for many years!

I have a King Size bed and was recently offered my Grandmother's Antique Mahogany Bedroom set, the problem is that it has a Queen Headbaord and Footboard. I was wondering if there is a way of making this work as no one in my family wants the furniture, and I would hate to see it leave the family.

In my freecycle group i read the following post
"Me and my son have just recently moved into our new apartment and he
doesn't have a bed I would like to upgrade to a queen since they are
no longer manufacturing full size bedroom sets and give him my old

Are they seriously trying to only have Twin, Queen and King? or is this lady confused.

I can't imagine that! It's too popular a size to discontinue.
Then again, Ford stopped making the number one selling US made auto, the Taurus. Go figure!

It was given to him several years ago. I really would like to keep the set together however, we would like to get a King size bed and that would mean a larger bed frame. What can I do in this situation. I have looked at several furniture stores to see if I could match the bed frame itself but, I have no luck.

i had that problem. so i went with an antique brass bed. you could also go wrought iron. get what matches the handles on your bureau and dressers. to tell you the truth i actually like mine better than that big wood bed. good luck.
