Black Wood Bedroom Furniture

I'm looking for wardrobes, chest of draws, bedside tables and an ottoman please.

Black furniture seems to be completely out of fashion now.If you look in any of the mail order catalogues which have stacks of different furniture items there is no black offered. Last year I wanted to dispose a black ash dresser/sideboard unit as recent decor changes meant it was not in harmony with the new colour scheme. It was in prime condition, with glass doors,working lights,no marks or blemishes but ads in the local paper brought no response. I offered it to two hospice charity shops but both declined it as they said that nobody wanted black furniture and it would only clog up there shop space.In the end I put it out for the dustmen and it ended up on the council tip.It seemed such a pity.When originally purchased it was quite an expensive item.

Does anyone have a photo of a bedroom set where the dresser/nightstand is pine and the headboard is painted black?

If you have a black headboard then you might want to add some black highlights to the dresser and nightstands to blend them together...paint the body of the dresser and nightstands black leaving the drawer fronts and tops the natural pine and add some great black iron hardware. It will look great with the headboard.

I'm moving into a new apartment and the bedroom already has blue carpet. My bedroom furniture is a dark wood with black marble table tops and the headboard is black marble. How can I tie these together? What would be the best color for the walls?

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. I think a light gray like "worldly gray" (# 7043) would combine the blue & black really well. You could also add an area rug like one of these:

Hi everyone! i'm designing one of my friend's bedroom. it's really small. and the colors and stuff are listed. should i add another color? i was thinking paint one wall a different color. like a bright orange or red or green. or maybe something more masculine like navy.

i would definitely pick an accent color to brighten it up a bit. I don't think you need to paint a wall unless they truly want to (it would be nice.) I think just adding some artwork (maybe take some personal photos of your friend and turn them into black and white prints but leave one thing, a focal point, in each a color.. possibly the color you choose as your accent.

I would stay way from anything dark as navy for an accent color, what about adding something a bit more interesting like red (if they like bright colors) or even a moss green or a grey tone...

Ok, so I have black bedroom furniture (black iron bed & night stand and black wood dressers), and I am wanting to change my bedspread. I found the cutest bedding in powder blue and chocolate brown, and I really want to use that as my next bedspread. I've had people tell me that black and brown together is a no-no, and I've kinda felt that way myself. Is there any way that I could pull that combination off? Or am I out of luck? Any help would be great! Thanks!

yes you can pull it off !paint 3 of your walls the blue and the wall in back of your bed the brown to start ,with pillows reflecting all of your colors on the bed(maybe one solid black with 2 coordinating) and some funky accessories it'll look great!
