Bedroom Furniture Platform Bed

The bedroom walls will be a spring/pastel green.
The bedroom furniture (platform bed) will be a dark chocolate brown.
The bedroom carpet will be in the tannish family.

We are going for a modern, hotel-like look.

Initial thoughts were all white; or champagne. Thanks in Advance!

I've looked on countless websites, even really commercial places like Target. Don't even say Ikea because Ikea has absolutely nothing, it's like the same thing over and over but with one differentiation. So bottom line- I'm looking for a new bed, (queen size), platform-ish, really modern. Can be wood or metal. No headboard whatsoever.

kittles furnishings. we have one in columbus, plus a professional carpenter would be able to create a design that is of your liking if you want to spend a little cash on it. draw up a little design, call your local bbb for carpenters, or check with friends to see if they can recommend one(make sure they have a few years of furniture or built in experience) this way you get exactly what you want. the design is simple enough and you can add several different elements, such as pull out drawers under the bed, hidden compartments under the platform(bed lifts with air pistions)book cases at the end and lights and small tables on each side of the bed. the possibilities are endless(i am a carpenter, and i am building a bed similar to what you are looking for lol) good luck

I'm shopping for new bedroom furniture and I've come across a couple cute platform beds. I just don't understand how the mattress does not slide around. Does anyone know?

The mattress is quite heavy and doesn't slide around. I and both my teenage daughters have platform beds. If however, you get... well... let's say excited to remain polite and not get reported :)... then you can buy an anti-slip pad for a futon and just place it between the platform bed and the mattress. This will keep it from sliding if you get too... excited...

I am currently looking for a solid wood platform bed (queen size) for my bedroom and having kind of a hard time finding a reliable furniture store online. Does anyone have any suggestions or personal experiences when it comes to purchasing from a good furniture store (preferably online)?
